gonna be tough battle for your forwards i think, carvell,westwood,morley,wood,waterhouse and even grix now. hopefully we start al guns gazing and just try bulldoze your line for the likes of ratchford, myler,briers,atins and evans just to rip ya apart, but if hudersfield continue with this form i woudn't put it past them to give it back think it going to be very exciting first haf and then we pull away in the 2nd hopefully! but gd luck in every other game this season!

I think this was a very interesting game. It would have been good to have had LO'D and Doof out there tonight because we didn't quite have the power and nouse they would have brought to us although Fairbank in particular showed up well in their place. Walker looked for the ground too soon and IMO Bentham let the Wires lay on and turn the player (npot from being on his front to his back but from facing forward to facing his own line) after the tackle to slow the man getting on his feet, whereas he pinged our guys for holding the ball way too quick in comparison.
We respected them too much at times and our line speed was just not there. Our threequarters stood off too much in defence in the first half. KB also let himself get wound up a bit.
Lots to be positive about because we need to remember that we had so many big lads missing. Patrick, Mason, LO'D & Doof. It's a huge disadvantage yet we were in the hunt and with a decent ref who could control a game and a different bounce we were well capable of coming away with the win. It bodes well.

Agree with all that. Would also add, we didn't collapse. We kept plugging away and got back into the game three times after being pegged back, no 64-6 or 47-0 tonight. |
