| If the Kruise thing comes to be then I will be seriously considering whether I will be supporting the club going forward to the extent I have in the past. It indicates a very short sighted view by the club and coach. We would be strengthening a rival club who don’t have much cover in that position whilst putting ourselves in that position.
I don’t agree he’s not our best 9. Kruise is the kind of player we should be building around. He’s a match winner and unplayable when he’s at his best. Potential England no 9- Something I can’t see AOB ever being- much as he’s solid he’s not got the x-factor of Kruise.
We would put ourself in a position of being left short for specialist players in the 9 position for next season- I don’t believe we currently have 4 specialist 9s and we also expect to run a reserve squad!
Frawley and AOB at 9 is not what I want to see next year. I’m not convinced by butterworth as yet as he’s yet to test himself at SL- and with reserve spots to fill- and no academy player to step up where would that leave us?

| I understand your point about not been happy at potentially losing Leeming. However your stance at blaming the club is poor. If the club wanted him out I could understand. However it sounds like the player wants to leave. If this is the case why would you stand in his way. An unhappy player is not going to perform to the required levels. The club just needs to make sure it gets the appropriate level of compensation. I would also question the ethical issue of Leeds approaching a contracted player. However to blame the club is ridiculous.

Leeds are within their rights to approach any club about a player- they can’t go to the player directly and we don’t know if that was the case. The club can then say to Leeds thanks but no tthanks, or put the idea to the player. The club could have just said no and that should be the end of it until April.
It’s happened before and the club have said no. Why did the club stand in the way of Jerry when he had the opportunity to play in aus. He said in The podcast he was cross at the time. Or allow brough to leave when various clubs came calling We wouldnt release them from contract.
You are assuming Kruise was unhappy at giants prior to Leeds approaching.
Would he not perform next year? I doubt it as if we turn Leeds down they will have to look elsewhere, and Kruise is out of contract and can look elsewhere in the spring so why would he not perform to his best to get another contract be that with us or elsewhere.
A decision by the club to take the (probably relatively small amount knowing hetherington) money from Leeds would just be very short sighted for me- he’s the best 9 we have despite what some think- otherwise why is he selected for knights whilst AOB isn’t, and why didn’t leeds approach for AOB who is a different 9 entirely to Dwyer who’s a runner like Kruise. It would leave us short in that role next season and without any time to get a decent replacement. Of which there can’t be many or Leeds wouldn’t have approached us regarding Kruise in the first place!
Pointless trying to sign a player like sezer then not having enough specialist hookers. We are already light in that area as it is- it weakens us as a team whilst strengthening a rival.
God knows we can do without being disadvantaged!

Why wouldn't we want to sign a quality player like Sezer if available? Hookers is next weeks problem to sort out.

1. Sezer has signed - they are awaiting the visa to be approved before announcing it.
2. Kruise and his agent are trying to force a move. Was due to turn back for training and didnt (not sure how true this is)
3. We aren't releasing Frawley until we have found a replacement for Kruise as he may end up playing 9.'"
Frawley is arguably a better 9 than he is 7 from what I have seen of him in Aus so if that is true it is not the worst option in the world.
If there is truth in Leeming not turning up for pre season, I would say you are better off without him - Stick a good fee on him and let Leeds pay it, shame though as he does seem to be a talent.

| I would also like to see Leeming staying with the Giants, He has bags of potential but i don't blame him one bit for wanting to go to a bigger club, It happens all the time, it's no different to us signing players from Fax and the like, his priority will be to better himself and look after his family as best he can, If it's about money the ball is in the Giants court, they seem to find plenty for Aussies.

Yes - and he’s quite within His rights to look elsewhere - after the April deadline next year . Giving our club time to sort a replacement.

Well pardon me for entering this debate but Leeming and Woolford don’t get on hence the problem.
It’s not the first time either and Woolfords strength isn’t being forgiving.
The club have circulated him for £50,000 to all SL clubs but Leeds don’t want to pay it.
Leeming wants to go LEEDS are likely to offer an overseas player but it needs an overseas spot and he’s on high wages so it’s down for negotiation.
I like Kruise but he’s very inconsistent and lost us 4pts last year with his silly idea of passing into the opposition in close games. Once at Cas once at Wakey.
Like Lunt I feel he needs to leave us now as he doesn’t want to play for us anymore and needs someone new to knock some discipline into him.
Like Jake Connor sad but inevitable but this time we have a chance to demand a replacement or get some salary cap space and cash to replace him and move on, something we should do...

Not sure which player Leeds would offer with regards to overseas. We have Martin, Hurrell on non fed trained quota, then Cuthbertson, Lui, Merrin, Seumanufagai on the overseas quota with Matt Prior rumoured to be coming too.
Using common sense, you’d think you are talking about Cuthbertson as the others are all newish.

I took it with a pinch of salt as I do all rumours but I’ve heard it from someone I know who knows a member of Leemings family and Hurrell is the name I’ve heard could be right could be miles out. Myler was the first offer and we turned it down supposedly. Trouble is he’s on far bigger money than Leeming and we don’t want to carry it all.
Same source says they will announce Sezer when his visa comes through.

Cuthbertson would do well enough, or Hurrell but i don's see that happening.
Incidentally does anyone know the state of play regarding Cudjo, Turner, or Joe Wardle, are any of them likely to be on the field at the start of the season or is it going to be the usual ( nearly there, another month etc ) which generally turns out to be half the season.

Cudjoe = crocked. Back in a brace and wont be taking part in preseason.
Uate = Back in rehab. Wont be fit for the start of the season.
Wardle & Turner = Both fit and and taking part in pre season.
