| If folk truly are turned off by a kit manufacturer then id suggest the club are on a hiding to nothing to retain said folk regardless! People are more likely to be turned off by some shocking effort on the field, a massive international gulf in class, the joke that is red hall and the way players are behaving more like primadonna footballers everyday. Who makes the kit is the least if their worries- there will always be someone complaining about the kit anyhow.

| I am not suggesting people will stop going because of merchandise however new people may be put off coming.
Marketing is a massive part of running a club. Something we don't seem to have done very well over the years.
Kooga will not appeal to the younger fans as much as ISC or puma would. Therefore they will go and get themselves a Puma town hoody rather than a Kooga Giants one.
The proof is on the pudding. Nobody else is supplied by them anymore.
I have spoke to a few Wigan fans who were supplied by Kooga but have moved to ISC and cannot even compare the two with regards to the style and quality difference.
I am not moaning for the sake of moaning, I just feel that we are not moving on the right direction off the field and its little things like this that help.

| i think you will find that ISC have pulled out of supplying a lot of the clubs they had this year because they are losing a fortune. they have lost Wigan, St Helens, castleford and London Irish because they cannot fund the huge losses. Bulls still owe them a lot of money so still supplying them to try ang get some back.

| i can't see any potential new fan being put off by who makes our merchandise...."i fancy going to watch the Giants as its looks fun and a good sport to get into...but wait, their merchandise is poor and made by Kooga so i wont bother" ...can't really see that happening , new fans , if any, will come for the game itself not the quality of t-shirts on offer !!

| Think some of the Kooga "Fartown" merchandise is crap, but not really any worse than any other sports clubs merchandise on offer. Let's face it Fartown/Town replica shirts are basically a rip off, for the price you pay for them they're crap. Best Fartown jersey i've got is the one I bought on this forum closely followed by a proper Fartown shirt bought a long time ago, early nineties, Fartown emblazened all across the back, proper badge and complete with long sleeves for them cold Sunday afternoons Not really bought much in regards to replica shirts for years but at the end of the day I can't see why the quality/style of shirt would deter people from supporting Fartown, at the end of the day if you like the gear on offer you'll buy it if you don't like it you won't.

| I have not said new fans would be put off by it.
However decent clothing will catch the eye of people and draw their attention.
Doesnt matter what you say, merchandising is a massive part of running a club. It MAY help attract new fans and it will definitely help raise funds for the club if more merchandise is sold.

| I have mixed feelings about the kit and other merchandise on offer. Replica shirts are a rip-off for all teams and all sports - I still get at least one every year though. Some of the T-shirts, hoodies, jackets etc... have been very good - others though I admit have been poor quality and limited availability.
One thing that really irritates though is our failure to supply merchandise in club colours only - or limited variations of it. Not doing so just dilutes the appeal and makes it really difficult for clothing items to be recognised as Giants gear. We seem to have been all over the place with this and no discernible thought given to it. Probably better this season - but have seen many colours used for menswear items such as red, black, grey, blue (WTF?), and white.
We need to grow a recognisable brand - choose a colour scheme - and keep the C&G theme strong within that.
Worst of all is our away kit choices in recent years - blue (WTF again), purple/blue, black, white, grey paintball (worst ever). You still see plenty of these old shirts at games - but my point is that we have lost our recognisable brand - we are C&G end of!

| precisely, i have said before that our colours are unique in rugby league, we should be using that as a marketing tool.
we should have merchandise in claret and gold, not black, red, blue, grey etc
when you see warrington or leeds fans, they are decked out in blue and yellow, cas fans in amber and/or black for example, then you see our fans wearing all sorts of colours.
most people around huddersfield probably know what our colours are but yet are rarely seen except on a match day.

| confirmed they will be kit suppliers for the next 3 seasons
suppose it brings stability along with the main sponsor bond it.
i have actually just spent money on England gear, just like the quality..ISC... would have preferred the money to go to the giants but sorry the stuff is just poor.
