| days of the skinny fast winger are gone mate, they need to do lot more work these days, mcgillvary has made most yards for us this year and most of that has been taking it up in our half. did see two young welsh lads last week though who were like lightning and are big and powerfull, if you go for pace like penny or chisholm at leeds you sacrifice what they can handle in defence, penny scores 4 but lets in 5 or 6 as they use him like a turnstile

I was wondering how he was going on this season, earlier in the week. Guess that answers that - a shame really when you consider how good he was looking at the start of the 2010 season (particularly his MotM performance at Wakefield in the 52-0 tumping).

| I'd happily take a 27-28 man squad of quality, than a 37 man squad with a few good faces.

| rather than quantity like we have this year,i'd like to see us go for quality, but quality players who play in their positions rather than squad players who can cover different positions, horne, wood, kirmond come to mind.

| You've signed Greg Eden from us. Which is one of the smartest signings you've ever made
And will cause a massive revolt to our board. Who lack any ambition

Castleford have extended the contract of young utility back Greg Eden, who is to stay at the club for the rest of the season with an option of another year.
The former Castleford Panthers amateur, 20, who came through the Tigers scholarship scheme, impressed at full-back for Cas in pre-season.
"He has since shown great form with the Under-20s," said Tigers head of youth development Steve Gill.
"Greg can be pushing for the first team spot in the not too distant future."
Gill added: "Greg returned to the club in September having taken an opportunity to play in Australia and did a full pre-season with the first grade."

Greg is a slow developer. Never the superstar, Went to Australia for training, And came back a different player.
I know its only Rochdale, But he get his full debut there, And got the man of the match (IIRC) And was superb, He has had a couple of games on the wing. But is naturally a full back, In the modern game
He is lightening quick, Has good hands and a great step. He needs game time, And is still improving, But the rumour has it you have signed him. And have a superb player on your hands
There is uproar around the club atm that we are letting him go
I would rather you take Richie Mathers & McGoldrick

| Sounds a cracking prospect. From our PoV I hope we have signed him. True, classic FB's are a fairly rare commodity at the moment.

| if he have signed him along with luke george it's certainly going to add some speed to our back line. Jerry/Cudjoe/Simpson/George/Wardle/Lawrence/Eden - unless simpson improves over pre season i fail to see where he is going to fit into our squad

| Eden's departure has been confirmed: "We're disappointed that Greg has declined our offer of a two-year full time professional contract and sees his future elsewhere."
