rovers till i die: |

| Quote: goodie "cant see why everyones not going to be honest, i am deffo going wherever i end up standing, ive stood on the east terrace before without any trouble at all, but this time think i will stand in the well as they call it, if i can buy a ticket on the day, dont fancy the south stand but if thats my only option will have to go there, As for hull and rovers fans not seen much trouble from either set to be fair, every one ive come across has been ok and ive been going to matches for years at the new and old grounds of both teams, perhaps ive been lucky.'"
Pay on the day is an option although Tickets are still available in the east stand and the well decent veiw from both areas.

| Well I am going - of course I am 'cos that is where the mighty Giants will be. My opinion is that there are plenty of SL grounds with poor views but you gotta go surely?
I must also say that I have found the HKR fans to be OK - and normally get on with them when walking to/from car and at the ground. Have always found KR fans better than FC - one of my very few poor experiences of idiot fans was at the Boulevard (twice) and therefore still wary when I go to the KC.
We are top of the league and it is well known that the players appreciate the away support - so get along if you can - bound to be a good game. If you can't afford then fair enough but I don't think a "poor view" will put many off. If that were the case how the hell did we take take so many to Wakey - now there is a poor view!!!
Hope the tea is better this time though - poor effort from the tea van last time - get a proper cuppa sorted HKR (should be part of the licensing rules that if you ask me).
Come on you Giants

dont go in the east stand as your fellow huddersfield fans say it will end in certain death as far as i understand theres only been 10 murders of away fans at craven park

| Quote: GIANT DAZ "1996 i think or round about then. it was , the 1st time i'd been to your new ground.....we started in the East stand but were subjected to an absolutely torrid time so my group decided to go and stand 'behind the posts' ot get away from the idiots......after 15-20 mins we came back and decided getting urine thrown on us and spat at and kicked was better than trying to watch the game from there.'"
Daz, was that the game where they watered the pitch to try and slow us down and Dean Hanger tore em to bits?. I do remember being spat on and the bottles of the warm yellow stuff being sprayed around on us as well.

| Quote: Rugby Raider "So we are all idiots then?
Care to remember 1980? 95,000 people at Wembley for Hull v Hull KR. Must have been at least 75,000 from the the City of Hull that day. Total arrests......... 3.
Yes, both clubs will have their mindless idiots, but at Hull we have been averaging 10-14,000 for the past decade nearly and since they got into Super League, Rovers have averaged c8,000 fans.
I'm sorry you have had some bad experiences in Hull or with Hull/Rovers fans and I'm not defending those involved. Yes I know their have been incidents and I have witnessed some first hand, Good Friday 1981 was the worst and the CC semi Final at Hudds was well out of order. However, the vast majority of Hull & Rovers fans just go tho the game to watch their team and enjoy Rugby League an then go home after the game.
Please put a bit of perspective into your words.
For what its worth, I was a student at Huddersfield Poly and my best friend was attacked by a local Huddersfield man. Now shall I take you approach to determine what all Huddersfield people are like or shall I use mine that says I really enjoyed living there and the people were really friendly to me for three years. Sorry to disappoint you, but even though I was born in Hull, during that time I didn't hit or abuse anyone and never have!'"
Nowt like a bit of perspective - well said that man.

1638.jpg How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin.

| Our personal experience has been that they're a friendly, if vociferous lot and I'll never forget the way they turned up in big numbers for Eorl's testimonial. Good on them.
I hope I still feel the same way Sunday night!
