While it is disappointing for Luke O'donnell leaving and on his day he can have a massive impact, I don't see this upsetting the applecart much. The fact is he was never a fundamental part of the team due to his bad injury luck.

I think the disruption will be minimal and is at the right end of the season, I'd rather he go now after round two than in a few months time i.e. around Easter.

I wonder how much Mason being pushed out has to do with LOD wanting out. Anyone know what's happening with Mason's legal claim?

Tend to agree with you though the 2 wins might be swaying my thinking but the team spirit seems excellent and I am sure it will not effect moral one iota. We would be better with him than without but it could open up opportunities for players both inside and perhaps outside the club. If this had happened earlier we might have had a different look and approach this season but liking what we have produced so far and if we can get a replacement at some time and he fits into this system great if he gives other options even better but think we need to take our time and get the right man not rush into anything just because we have room in the salary cap.

Luke O Donnell has nothing more to do with the giants. He hasn't been training with the squad this week and is expected to fly back to aus this weekend. From what i have heard Cherrington was going to be coming this way but after finding out he had done his ACL previously we have opted not to bring him in.

well so be it.cracking player on his day which we failed to see too often....plus with ref's targetting him over here he probably thought he wasn't getting a fair crack ......shame cos a fully fit LOD would have made mincemeat of out this league in his time here !.
