Touching the side of the ball isn't downward pressure , it isn't rocket surgery as Barrie would say , that's why both try's weren't given

Quote: Sheepridge Giant "Wonder if our forwards were watching the way the Leigh pack were running the ball back.

Salford bit unlucky, not sure what score was at time but that M.Masila effort was a 'dead set' try as they say.Should have sent it up try and let the VR chalk it off if necessary.

Nowt against Salford RL,but after yesterday's result just for our own benefit I'm wanting HKR & Leeds to beat them now in next two rounds.Could do with Leeds winning all their games before they come to ours which would put them on 10 points and almost guaranteed to finish in top 3.

Of course this is assuming we can take care of business against Feath,Batley & London in next 3 weeks.'"

50/50 at best, can also point to a forward pass for the Lui try.

would we not prefer to play hull kr in the million pound game rather than salford ? i think we would have a better chance against kr

still to early to say but i think we will be in the mpg, pray we are at home if so

Blessing in disguise Brierley chasing the £££ & leaving.
Leigh are now a much more rounded team & the Josh Drinkwater/Ridyard partnership is now coming on song. Drinkwater is at least twice, ney thrice the player Brierley could ever wish to be.

Salford's Lui try a country mile forward, Hoods no try correct & Milli Vanilli or whatever he calls himself *both stone cold drops*.

The Ref & VR both had a great game, bar the Lui NO TRY.

Yep- gives Hudds an advantage over the other SL sides who's coaches will have seen very little of any championship rugby. They will have very little footage to go on. Brierley on the other hand knows the strengths and weaknesses of many of the players at Leigh as well as their plays.

Because JD was playing in Aussie at that time for another club on the other side of the World, be a bit difficult to judge on that basis.

No again ....

Who with half a mind would want to watch that London side ?
Zero interest in London Village other than how we play against them.

Not prepared to fall out over a difference of opinion, so we shall see.

Five of our regular backs weren't playing when Ryan was there though, (McNally, Brown, Tonga, Dawson and Drinkwater) and I think it's fair to say we weren't particularly putting on many plays while Ryan was with us. (not his fault, I hasten to add - we had just undergone the trauma of our coach leaving and attempting to fit Chase into our team)

As for Drinkwater, he came back over here to put himself in the shop window and he's settled in beautifully. His presence seems to have brought the best out of Ridyard. Josh hasn't yet signed a contract for next season, as he's keeping his options open. Should we fail to make that huge leap into SL, I'm willing to bet that he ends up in SL, with someone else. (of course, that could still be London Broncos again! icon_wink.gif )

Brierley only left you this season remember......McNally has been playing for you for years! I've always taken a keen interest in him....... him being an ex hudds lad and all. Tonga- yep played against him when he was in SL. Dawson too - we certainly know his weaknesses, icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif again ex hudds. In fact we probably know more about your new players than the rest! Stone will know Mitch Brown probably better than any other player on your squad.
In fact, higham, hock, tickle, Hansen, hood, yeah got a lot of SL cast offs we've played against before in there.

Not sure losing Brierley could be described as a blessing in disguise, anyone with his pace is an asset but he hasn't been missed as much as some feared, and most Leigh fans are happy with his replacement as Drinkwater brings different options, and is forming a great partnership with Riddy

As for Brierley knowing Leigh's plays as Alan stated different back line and a new backs coach since he left.

There's Some interesting games yet to come before our encounter, and this week I'm more concerned about Fev.
