Quote: Ceejames "The fixation of certain Bulls fans on gates / travelling support is dreary. If you have wet dreams over crowds then go and watch MUFC each week. .... These are topics they raised far less when they were winning.'"

With respect, to listen to your fellow ingrates over the last fifteen years or so you'd think Bradford was supported solely by former Huddersfield fans. It didn't stack up then, it doesn't stack up now and it hasn't stacked up at any point in between. Not that it has stopped your five fellow fans from pi55ing all over the Bulls board about it every time we play. And fwiw, crowds are kind of important if you don't have someone buying success for you. You may recall this from your recent to mid-term history of having neither.

Quote: Ceejames "Anyone want to comment on the upcoming game?'"

Too early for this Bulls team to make much of an impact imo. There's enough quality in the team to trouble the top four prospects on their day but it's not going to happen this weekend. We just played our first game with a recognised half back in 8 months, and it was his first game in about as long. We don't have enough direction and there are too many errors.

Quote: Durham Giant "Bradford certainly seem better than last season ( having a coach in charge who knows what he is doing certainly helps). Bradford have had some injury problems. Heath Lestarnge will be out he is a good player, not sure about Jamie Langley a very consistent player.

Marc Herbert might be back for the bulls not a player i know much about but supposedly quite good.

We will need to take our chances to make sure we come home in this game.'"

Ok - back to the top. I can't really comment on your guys, I haven't seen much of them recently apart from the Harlequins game. I don't know how much you feel your team have improved from last season. Bulls have improved a lot and should still have some more to go.

You should still be favourites for this. At home, settled side, good defence, consistent. You have been in contention for trophies the last few years. Confidence should be good.

We, on the other hand, have recruited heavily but well. Still working on combinations, not helped by the injuries to our creative players (mainly).

Good mixture of youth & experience in the pack. Actually having half-backs is a bit of a novelty. Also having a coach as well icon_wink.gif .The centre/wing combos on both sides seem to balance each other well. And we have pace. We haven't had that for ages. While pace isn't everything, it sure helps.

The one thing which Potter hasn't sorted yet is our ability to self destruct with errors. Respecting possession will be worked on a lot this week. If we improve that, will be a cracking (and close) game. If we don't, you probably won't have to work that hard.

Ainscough is better under the high ball now btw icon_wink.gif

Could everyone please refrain from personal insults. One poster has gone for good. Now we seem to have really started the modding season i have had to locate the ban button again.

[ Where are all these claims about the Bulls being supported solely by former Huddersfield fans. Point us to half a dozen, or are you making it up? That would be pathetic.]

Not that it has stopped your five fellow fans from pi55ing all over the Bulls board about it every time we play.

[Oh dear that does sound unpleasant]

And fwiw, crowds are kind of important if you don't have someone buying success for you. You may recall this from your recent to mid-term history of having neither.

[I recall many things about TGG. Many clubs have gone bust in the past, others have operated in 'subsidised' local authority owned stadia etc etc. Of course gate and the cash they bring are imprtant. By all means start threads on club finances. However when a thread is about the game why do certain bulls numpties kneejerk to crowds and travelling support? Why don't these people show some initiative and create a crowd watching forum icon_smile.gif

This season is sh** or bust for Bradford, they have gambled on offering a very cheap season ticket to avoid a further dramatic slump in attendances, due to the poor on field exploits of recent seasons.

If they fail to impress this season and show signs of massive improvement will they beable to afford such a cheap season ticket next season. Great if it comes off, but dismal fail if it does not.

Whereas we have KD, a great ground and a great team they have not, all they have left is to bang on about how many trophies they have and even then Wadski owned them. icon_lol.gif

I'm quite amused at how many people have taken to slinging mud around here. I think certain posters need to take a look at their own club (and i mean from both sides!) before mocking the inadequacies of the other.

IMO the game on Sunday (yes, i'm actually going to make a comment on the game which I think the thread is actually supposed to be dedicated to icon_eek.gif) will be close.

Despite what any of you may think on here, the Bulls are much stronger this year, mainly due to the fact we have a coach who knows what he's doing!!!

Even though the Giants may have been the better side in recent years I'm fairly confident of a Bulls win at the weekend, as long as we can cut the silly penalties and keep our key players on the field rather than on the bench with an ice pack!!!

I doubt any Giants fans will agree but hopefully either way we'll see a good game of rugby!!!
