Quote: Durham Giant "Bradford certainly seem better than last season ( having a coach in charge who knows what he is doing certainly helps). Bradford have had some injury problems. Heath Lestarnge will be out he is a good player, not sure about Jamie Langley a very consistent player.
Marc Herbert might be back for the bulls not a player i know much about but supposedly quite good.
We will need to take our chances to make sure we come home in this game.'"
Ok - back to the top. I can't really comment on your guys, I haven't seen much of them recently apart from the Harlequins game. I don't know how much you feel your team have improved from last season. Bulls have improved a lot and should still have some more to go.
You should still be favourites for this. At home, settled side, good defence, consistent. You have been in contention for trophies the last few years. Confidence should be good.
We, on the other hand, have recruited heavily but well. Still working on combinations, not helped by the injuries to our creative players (mainly).
Good mixture of youth & experience in the pack. Actually having half-backs is a bit of a novelty. Also having a coach as well
.The centre/wing combos on both sides seem to balance each other well. And we have pace. We haven't had that for ages. While pace isn't everything, it sure helps.
The one thing which Potter hasn't sorted yet is our ability to self destruct with errors. Respecting possession will be worked on a lot this week. If we improve that, will be a cracking (and close) game. If we don't, you probably won't have to work that hard.
Ainscough is better under the high ball now btw
