Ikahihifo has obviously worked really hard in pre season and that is what Mamo and Wakeman should do this time around. Rather than bugger off to Aus and come back late for start of pre season they should stay here and work extremely hard in pre season ready and raring for next season.

if we go to the championship they will not be here, all contracts will be void, and that is the only way we can clear the decks, and if that happens i hope it isn,t just the on field deck that is cleared.

I can't believe some people are thinking that relegation would be a good thing. As for just clearing the playing force decks- It won't be, and we won't lose the poorer players- we will just lose the better ones. Jerry and Leroy won't get a look in at England playing in the championship so they won't stick around. we will lose coaching staff, support staff and unlike at KR the terraces will be cleared, and potentially so will Kens involvement. If that happens we won't return.

Put izaac Farrell in and see what he can do against Leeds. He bossed today's game against Leeds' u19s!!! Giants u19 are depleted with injuries at the moment- especially in the forwards, whilst Leeds boast some England academy boys in their forward pack.
Farrell absolutely bossed the show ball in hand- his kicking from hand was almost perfect and he kicked 6/6- some from the touch line. Giants weren't expected to win, but managed the game perfectly going round leeds' sluggish edges and not allowing Leeds to play the game they wanted up the middle. The showedcsone great togetherness and character- rick stone could take some of that away with him I hope!

19s have a game against cas at the weekend and are down to bare bones so unlikely any new youngsters will feature against swinton.

Why are so many writing the season off and defeatist. We are only 10 games in and things look to be improving slightly. Every team goes through rough patches, and have to work through it. Plenty of sides are no better, but are getting the 50/50 calls and lucky bounce of the balls which we are not getting at the moment. We only lost to Catalan by 7 points, but today the Catalans hammered Salford by 30 plus, and Salford are the second best side, so how do you evaluate results like that.

I would put Izaac Farrell and Brierley in against Swinton, I like Farrell when I saw him against Bradford in the friendly and thought then that he should be worth a place this season. He is a good up and coming half back.

The 19s are struggling with injuries, not sure we will see izaac as they have a game against cas on sat

gaskell went off for head assessment during wire game, he came back on but not sure if it was within the 15mins..they have to miss next game if over 15mins?

l was not being negative, nor do l think we will go down, posters are calling for certain players to be got rid of, l was simply stating its not that simple. we do have some average players on unusually long contracts? and l doubt those kind of players will want to leave, in fact l,m pretty sure they won,t want to leave. If you really don,t want a player, then you have to do a deal with him, his agent, or buy him out. if you think we need wholesale changes, the fastest, cheapest, and easiest way is relegation.
Personelly l think Stone, and the players will turn it around, and we will make the 8, but we certainly need more grunt up front, and the backs need settleing, only 2, 3, and 6 seem assured. l think Mamo will get 1, and McIntosh 5 but not sure, 4,7,??, and Breirley?, another long contract that doesn,t seem to fit.
