from what i hear both NB and PA were keen on moore coming to club so dont think for certain lunty will play for us again, most senior players voiced concerns but were reassured by the coaches, if as durham says this secures the long term future of eden then i for one am delighted, not certain about moore, but will give him a chance to show his skills.

Seams a strange one. Your going well in the league and bring in a new player and throwing out another player would seam to be causing disruption when you are flying along.

But then mid-season disruption seams to be the thing with Nathan Brown.

So looking at the Stats for this season

Lunt and Moore both have shocking missed takle rates around 12.5%.

Moore has given away 8 penalties in 6 games and Lunt 1 in the same number of games.

Moore is a liability on and off the field.

cant say im at all happy with this, but then again the coaches have proved us wrong before.
i hope moore gets his act together pretty sharpish because if he does replace lunt then finds its all been a gamble that hasn't paid off then i imagine a few unhappy fartowners.

Moore has made more than twice as many metres and twice as many tackles and many more carries. does that mean Lunt must be incredibly lazy? Do we want lazy players at 9? maybe it is not as simple as that.

The reality is that Moore starts in the weakest team and does high minutes while Lunt does small minutes in the top team. Moore gives the same number of penalties per game as Robbo...is Robbo a liability on the field

We have to go with the coaches on this. I'm twitchy about it, it's natural to be, but I think it's fair to say that the decision will be made with the team in mind and I think it's also fair to say that Lee had justified his place in the team until he got injured and I also had reservations about us signing him.

Nothing to worry about he is just better at ordering shirts than using new technology.

Totally agree with you there, if like has been eluded to on this thread that signing Moore and letting Lunty go allows us to secure someone like Eden then it's a good compromise. Moore and Lunt are proven SL players and who wants to miss out on Greg 'like a young Billy Slater' Eden, I don't.

Can't say I'm impressed and he's not the perfect role model for my little lad.
However in Nathan we trust - he knows what we are getting. If he adds some mongrel aggression to us on the pitch that is a plus. And if he keeps that mongrel aggression on the pitch that will be a double plus.

One thing in favour is both Baloo and Nathan have worked closely with Scott Moore and know what he's like, which some other clubs don't, if the lad knuckles down and does what he did during his first few months with us, then it could be a master stroke. The other bonus is securing some of the excellent young talent we have at the moment, now losing one of them would be devastating in my opinion.
