| Now now Mabel-be a good girl -- please dont contradict the club spin doctor !
It could get you banned!!
(there agin -a simple name change -and hey- youd be back!!
Now BTTopic
Kevin I believe was signed as a centre --but as one poster says previously -the shuffleboard symptom meant a change of scenery that IMO never really came off
In these other positions he seemed to drift back wide "Like" an extra threequarter giving the ventre/wingman less room to work and some of the moves became cluttered
Perhaps he may slot back in at Widnes at centre where (maybe)HE feels at home !
And if hes also happier "at home" its a win win solution
Good luck to the lad!!
Whats next ?

Yes we were the same and we were relegated eventually fair enough. Nothing against Widnes but facts are facts.

| not happy kev brown is leaving... top player...was shocked
building him up into a loose forward for us has been a waste now
i can see tommy lee being the new loose forward for us
on the plus side we will now have some cash to go to work with...
cant see brough going, every club wants him but that would be suicide by giants

| I should end this debate by saying the following
1) Widnes asked if they could speak to Brown to offer him a deal, Huddersfield said yes but as Brown was under contract it would require a fee. Widnes agreed to this & stated they had already put together a package if Brown was interested in joining them
2) As Brown spoke to Widnes & discovered that the salary package they had put together was something he wouldn't receive anywhere else, it was very very tempting, they then upped it, & Kevin asked if he could leave Huddersfield
3) on top of the very good package, a move back to lancashire was key as all his family are over there (plus Kirsty's) & with the birth of their child, they are keen to build a family
leave the lad alone, leave the club alone also, no one's to blame at all
on the subject of loose forwards, Kevin's current position, you forget a young ball playing back row forward currently playing well every time he's been in the 1st team. Cording

| KB is not been on form for a long time backed by cudjoe and a few others. You can not knock him for going for an easy life & money!
I said last week about df's fitness he missed.tackles & struggled making it back to point today?
I wish we had support of wigan & the hull teams cos they made it a fantastic weekend.

Yes, the hold-ups on the interweb are far less frequent than the M62!!
But there again, there'll be no inside info.

I agree with all of that.
I wish Kevin and his wife all the best and i am sure it will be best for the club as well.
I could see Tommy Lee though becoming the loose forward rather than Cording but time will tell.

| He has gone for the money. Simple as that. He could easily have just moved house, he didnt need to move clubs and not one as poor as widnes.
Personally i dont rate him, but he is a first team regular challenging for trophies. So unless he doesnt get on with Paul Anderson it must be money motivated.
Hudds is only an hour for from Widnes, if he was at London or Catalan I could understand.
Sinfield lives in Oldham and travels to Leeds and Leon Pryce lived in Bradford when playing for Saints, I am sure there must be others that live a bit further from there club as well.
Its not going to do his international chances any good.

The money will be a factor in signing for Widnes if there were other clubs interested but, having been in a similar position myself, I don't doubt that he and his wife wanted to move closer to family. Yes, he could move house but having to spend 2 hrs+ a day on the motorway when you want to spend as much time as possible watching your new child grow up it's a no-brainer, especially having to fork out for the spiralling fuel costs as well.
I just hope we can use the cash to bring in a decent stand-off to complement Brough.

| League weekly today saying Rangi Chase is unhappy at Cas. They would want a large transfer fee for him which would put a lot of clubs off. Could be worth an offer as he would be a great player with someone like Brough alongside him.
Also it suggests Ferres to Huddersfield and Gilmour to Cas.
