We have stumbled season after season in the games that matter, this season we have been found out, no-one fears us and we really are in the doo doo, need something to freshen and fire the whole team up'"
But those aren't éxcuses those are people's opinions on what's wrong.
No one is making excuses for anything, what is there to find an excuse for? we are bottom of the table because we deserve to be!

| Quote: meast "What tripe, how have i got a vested interest in those in charge?
I am a fan,who goes to every home and away game, a long time fan who cares a lot about this club, i want what is best for the club, and my opinion is that sacking the head coach is not in the best interest of the club, you may not agree with it ,but that is my opinion.
I haven't defended anybody, i have simply offered my opinions on what the problems are.'"
But by your own words meast, You don't want to be entertained, you want to win, ( you are on a hiding to nothing at the moment then ) And yesterday you were saying that offloading might not be in our Game plan, we are not privy to such info as fans. If that's not an excuse for our lack of skill, what is.
Offloading is one of the fundamental parts of the game ( we are privy to that info, We know it ceased to exist in the Giants game when Faiumu packed in) Huby was a offloader at Cas, that's all gone now. Eorl was getting there under Brown, that's all gone now.
We could be playing in the middle 8s, and fighting to stay in there, and some people will still be saying we just need time to turn things around.
P Anderson is not doing it for us mate, I don't know why ( I wish he was ) He has got us what we have on the back of some solid defence, and credit to him for that, But as has been said we are getting found out.
Almost every player we have has gone backwards, not one single one would get picked for England now except maybe Jerry and that's doubtful
I feel like many people I talk to, that we have missed our chance and we need to start over, We have to find a D Powel from somewhere, or another N Brown ( who isn't going to have some sort of wobbler )

I'm with you Meast.
We've got problems and are 'in a hole' as PA says.
If there was ever a time when everyone associated with the club needs to pull together this is it.
Looking on the positive side we're only 6 points off 4th.
Wonder what odds you'd get for a GF win at the moment?

| Reading the posts on here is like a discussion between Humans and martians.
There are some real problems at the club and no one seems to answer them.
The big issue for me in respect of Anderson is who is responsible for recruitment retention and planning.
If it is baloo he should be gone if it is Thewlis he should be gone. One or the other is responsible.
Injuries are part of the game every team at one point or another experiences them. Hull a couple of years ago and Saints last year
Leeds and us this year.
What is important is what sort of squad do you have,
Who went into this season we three experienced props Eorl, Rapira and Huby ?
We then have a couple of blown up second rows as back up Taai and Patrick.
After that we have three kids. Everyone knows that Props do not come into their prime until late 20s.
We were left with Smith mason and Johnson.
They a;; might become great players but they are a long way from where they need to be.
IN the backs it was even worse. We had two experienced backs to provide injury cover then we were down to kids who are not ready.
Who decided to go into the season with Robbo who was on the verge of retiring last year. Again this left us running a big risk re injuries.
Some one at the club gambled with having a very small squad and they lost big tome.
Someone made that decision and now we are paying for it.
My separate issue about Anderson relates to his man management / coaching and tactics.
Last year we had the quickest player in the league and never played to his strengths. We did not on one occasion as i can remember have a set mve using his pace. We then off;load him.
Who stopped our payers playing any sort of off;loading game.
Why is our passing so slow innacurate. This has been an issue for 3 seasons.
Every time i here Anderson say, " we know what the problems are, the players turned up with the wrong attitude". Then we say it again.
I can accept the team losing. I cannot accept the team not trying. Not trying is about something in the team. It is not about skill or injuries.
In my view Anderson has TWO games to sort this. If the players give up in the next two games like they have in the last two then Anderson will have to be sacrificed.
IF we lose the next two games we will be in the middle 8s and will need a new coach to get the team up for winning in the middle 8s. It will take that long to re organise and re invigorate the team.

Like i said, it's opinions, i don't see how sacking Anderson will make things better, i have given my opinion on what i think is the problem and what i think the answer is= patience.
Some people don't see it that way, and have no patience and call for heads to roll, that's their prerogatives.
maybe he has run his course, but in my opinion he deserves a chance to get us going again.
As for entertainment, then i would rather we work on fixing up the fundamental problems, like catching, tackling, passing etc first.

Smith isn't inexperienced- and you can't have it all ways- we either give the kids an opportunity or have experience.
Make your mind up.

Agree with all of this , I was saying at the start of the season, why have we not recruited better ? Why are we showing such loyalty to players well past there best ? We seemed to ether get over confident or lose the plot all together after we won the lls, to me that was the time ,the momentum was on our side ,confidence was high and in my opinion replacing a few tired players with some class myt have been all we needed to go all the way ,but instead we as a club have just taken a massive step backwards! . I just hope something is done quick because we don't have a big enough fan base to cope with even one season in the lower leagues, yes we would survive but the damage would be done and 90% of our top players would abandon ship. Hopefully we will stop the rot and find some fight soon. I seriously suggest we find some big aggressive forwards and let them offload!

Absolutely right mate but you are wasting you time trying to convince people who see the world through Claret and Gold glasses. They think if you have the nerve to criticize the club or complain about the style of play, you are just a whinger who is not a true fan at all.
In reality they have been watching Tripe for so long that the last few seasons has seemed like they have found El-dorado. Most of last season, certainly up until the split, the football played was rubbish, other than 2/3 games ( they did pick it up in the playoff section to their credit ) till it mattered and then it went the same way as usual, they don't care mate , the lower they get the more you are supposed to get behind them ( if you are a true fan that is ) obviously the majority of people in Huddersfield feel differently. ( but hey ,what do they know, they weren't one of the 300.
Being one of those 300 is nothing to be ashamed of. it,s, not something to be proud of either It's just an admission you were prepared to go and pay out to watch Tripe, While you were , thousands of other people were watching good sides play good Football.
Well it won't take much for us to be heading in that direction again , Fans are deserting yearly , yet still all we need is a bit of time ,to turn it round. We need to beat Salford tomorrow or Mr Anderson will be in serious trouble, I don't want to see him out of work, I just want to see him Work somewhere else. We are playing a boring pedestrian style of football that people will just not pay to watch, If you play the game how it's meant to be played you will get you share of wins, more importantly you will get people to come and watch, So for me the ball is in Mr Davy's court.

What's all this 'They' business ??
Are we not all fans of the same club ? are we not all wanting to see this club be successful ?
Those are comments i'd expect from a fan of a rival team or a troll not one of our own.
We all want the same thing for this club....some have more patience and endurance and are prepared to trust the club, some want it now - obviously you are one of the latter.
Don't get me wrong i would love the club to break world record fees to bring the best half-back/prop/full back etc to this club and win everything there is to win in the next year but the reality is it isn't going to happen.
It could turn around and we may go the rest of the year unbeaten, we don't know but we will only find out if we stick with it....moaning on forums and criticising long term fans for being eternal optimists will not make the club better or worse.

No but it clearly makes them feel better.
Many of the same folk moaning now are the same ones moaning we don't give the kids a chance- well we have given the kids a chance- now they are moaning we didn't recruit
I think Anderson's days are numbered if after a few weeks of a settled side we are still without a win. But I'm willing to give him chance with the same spine of a team for a few weeks first. - that's possible if we don't get hit with more injuries.

| I don't doubt one minute that Paul's job is in doubt, he is the head coach and he will get the chop long before any of the underperforming players, harsh but that's how the game goes.
I don't know what more he can actually do without going onto the pitch and making the tackles, passing the ball, making the players run with it and not drop it.
I feel for him he's a damn good coach but the fans want instant results/better performances and trophies to cheer, me included, obviously circumstances this year mean he hasn't got the squad he hoped he would have - and that is now showing.
The players need to step up though as they are the ones underperforming, again in not ideal situations as thingas that happened threw a spanner in the works.
The bottom line is we are bottom of the table, playing poorly and with a large number of fans getting restless again (obviously this time last year we'd ridden the early season storm out and all was rosy again it's just taking a bit longer this year).
I won't call for Paul's sacking but if we fail to win in the next couple i cannot see him staying much longer, we lost enough fans over the Nathan Brown saga, we can't afford to lose anymore now !!

I have been very consistent . I was alwayas arguing for changing the team. Last season every week i would have rotated the key props so that they missed one week in four Eorl, Mullally, Koppy and Huby. Then i would have played one of the youngsters to give them experience.
You and others on here kept on saying dont change a winning team. My view was do change a winning team give experience and rest the main strike players so that they had some energy at the end of the season.
That is how you blood youngsters slowly in a settled team.
Not what we have now where we have to play loads of them who are not ready.
It was the same with the backs and the hookers. I constantly suggested playing them on a regular basis for easier games so that the main players were ready for the big games.
It is you are inconsistent yet even now you dont seem to address the big issue of who is responsible for the fact that this squad was a disaster waiting to happen.
Before the season started i said this squad was not good enough and that was before the Robbo and ferres debacles.

But we did change the team, we did have players like Johnson playing, and leeming, and Simpson.....
Any more and we would have been in s position like the one we find ourselves in now.
