Quote: jools "My irony meter has just exploded. Pages and pages on the Leeds board moaning about an obstruction that wasn't given- Barely a mention of abletts knock on. Still you have to justify why you lost a point to "the worst side you've played this season" after failing to cross our whitewash in the second half and being 22-6 at half time up eh???

No doubt you'll be back with the same two faced comments in two weeks time....'"

Oh no, without your irony meter how on earth will you be able to figure out what's going on? For what it's worth there's quite a big difference between a clear held call that led to a penalty and a highly dubious obstruction call that led directly to a try that put you in front for the first time. As for Ablett, yes he lost the ball, but based on the interpretation throughout the entire game it was both a ball steal and it went backwards. Hope that helps.

My issue with the held call is, about 7/8 minutes in Silverwood called held for a tackle by Rhinos and the players continued to hold on. Silverwood is about to give a penalty and then a Rhinos players points out they didn't hear him and Giants are made to play the ball. I think this seems pretty fair. The exact same happen 7/8 minutes from the end of the game and its suddenly a penalty. I'm not claiming that the ref made that decision to favour the Rhino's, i think referees can be found guilty of getting caught up in a match too much. Thursday night was one of the most exciting matches of the season and I think Silverwood got caught up in the excitement which led him to make a call which contradicted his earlier one.

Quote: ThePrinter "One poster said you put in the worst first half against us this season, most then disagreed with him, hardly the overriding view on the board.

People tried pointing out to yourself and others about Ablett's knock-on. Yes he did, was it obvious at normal time from the ref's angle, no. Was it obvious after you saw a slowed down reply from a certain angle, yes.

There's the difference, try and figure it out.'"

those on here commenting on the knock on were AT the game saw the knock on, without a slowed down replay, saw it in real time and recognised it was a knock on....figure that one!

It's human nature that fans should focus on calls that went against them, especially when it appears inconsistent decisions have been made by the same ref within the same game. It appears that Leeds fans are so far up their own they can't accept that without having a dig.
There has been just one game this season where refereeing inconsistencies haven't been the subject of discussion on this board- figure that one too.
Why don't you have a go at the crowd - it hasnt been done for a few posts.

Yeah, course they did, from all angles of the ground too.

Says Leeds fans are so far up their own, then complains about us having a dig lol

Very touchy aren't you. Maybe that's why you can't have a proper debate with opposition fans as you're very over sensitive with claret and gold specs on.

Quote: raceman "Why is it that just after we play Leeds the Trolls all appear out of the woodwork, or are they trolling elsewhere, I suspect the latter. Enjoy the games against Leeds but this is the downside.'"

They've always been around, just been in hiding since about 2011 where we're concerned - now they're unbeaten in 2 against us so it's time for them to leave their bridges again !!
