Having seen both of you lot doing yer best to cheat a win recently (and yes, we're no angels either), a weak & incompetent ref like Child is the principle reason games descend into farce all too often. He is by far the worst of them at the moment and it baffles me (and angers in equal measure) why he's still allowed on the park.

i have said he was awful for both sides, he lost control early on and it became a free-for-all after that, players from both sides were clearly frustrated and took it out on each other, brough, burns, wilkin especially were at him for most of the game trying to influence him.

he's just a poor official i'm afraid, he has no control over the players whatsoever, we call Bentham, but at least he takes control of games ( although some might say not entirely fairly)

including the one where burns grabbed hold of brough's shrt and the penalty went to saints?
or the one where wilkin fell down like a felled giant oak only to jump straight back up once TVtony had come on?

we could go on all night about stuff but it was the referee who lost control that enabled these things to happen.

This bloke is becoming a danger to the players with his reluctance to punish foul play.....I cannot believe he only dished 1 yellow out after saints early ploy was clearly to hit our players.... Thing is teams know with this buffoon in charge it will go unpunished.....I hope to god I don't have to see this incompetent person reffing us again this year !!

Yep huddersfield were clean as a whistle. Nothing wrong from them today.

not in the first 20 minutes no, there were 3 late shots by saints in that period, which if had been punished properly and forcefully would have meant that players from both sides wouldn't have gone around dishing the dirty stuff out.

Of course it was all Saints. Huddersfield had nothing to do with it. Naturally. Or maybe the filter on those glasses are a bit too claret and gold.

we were guilty of some cheap stuff later on i admit, but the first 20 minutes we had 4 penalties given all for high/late shots

Or alternatively the players show some cojones and take things into their own hands and show the rough stuff wont work

The only two players we have who have ever thrown a punch AFAIK in the squad are Wardle and Ferres neither were playing.

I can only assume that when Anderson was playing for the Bulls he was looked after by Fielden, peacock and McDermott because our team is full of no fight and no aggression.

If Wilkin was flattened after the first bad tackle even if we had a player sent off then other teams would think I need to be careful or I might get a crack in the mouth.
Next week I await the French kicking the out of us and us rolling over again. Elima will be planning who he is going to already

He was an absolute calamity as a touch judge. How on earth he managed to become a ref is beyond me. I suppose it doesnt help having Danny Brough in your face every 2 minutes
