Didn't mean to cause an argument between yourselves. Maybe I could have explained myself better in that at the [imajority[/i of the KR and FC games I have been to I have either on the way into the ground or out of the ground had some idiot using foul and abusive language or threatening behaviour towards some member of my family or another Giants fan nearby. Given that i'm 39 and been to most of the Hull V Huddersfield games over the years then that accounts for a heck of a lot of people. The only other ground I can think of where I have seen any bother was about 20 years ago at Leigh when some drunk tried having a go at my Dad. This is what gives me the conception that most Hull people are of a different breed.

I have had no real problems with any KR fans but have seen enough idiots there ( as i have at a few other grounds)to think that taking a chance of going in with the KR fans is not worth the hassle.

If Rovers were to win it would be less of a concern than if the Giants win but still not worth he risk. I will have to save my money for the KC and pay their rip off prices.

when have you actually stood in the south stand because when we were in the the NL the only fans to stand in there were the wire fans in the cup so it wasnt then and since we have been in SL the only fans in there have been hull fans and an overspill of leeds fans and the odd rovers fan so when exactly was it . I know its a crap veiw but it will only be a one off next season should be very nice for you

It's him again! Last friday and last time we were at Hull KR!

I totally agree with this. I've been to hull and Hull KR many times and 90% of the experiences have been bad involving threats, abuse, even being spat on by a Hull fan who came to stand with the away fans and then spent the whole game abusing people and spitting at them.

I personally wouldn't go to either Hull or Hull KR if they gave me a gold plated seat on the half way line and certainly wouldn't even contemplate sitting in a crap stand with no view.

It may not be the majority of Hull KR Fans but is clearly a significant minority.

FFS last season at the Galpharm Hull fans were fighting each other in the St Andrews lower car park !

1996 i think or round about then. it was , the 1st time i'd been to your new ground.....we started in the East stand but were subjected to an absolutely torrid time so my group decided to go and stand 'behind the posts' ot get away from the idiots......after 15-20 mins we came back and decided getting urine thrown on us and spat at and kicked was better than trying to watch the game from there.

cant see why everyones not going to be honest, i am deffo going wherever i end up standing, ive stood on the east terrace before without any trouble at all, but this time think i will stand in the well as they call it, if i can buy a ticket on the day, dont fancy the south stand but if thats my only option will have to go there, As for hull and rovers fans not seen much trouble from either set to be fair, every one ive come across has been ok and ive been going to matches for years at the new and old grounds of both teams, perhaps ive been lucky.

Care to remember 1980? 95,000 people at Wembley for Hull v Hull KR. Must have been at least 75,000 from the the City of Hull that day. Total arrests......... 3.

Yes, both clubs will have their mindless idiots, but at Hull we have been averaging 10-14,000 for the past decade nearly and since they got into Super League, Rovers have averaged c8,000 fans.

I'm sorry you have had some bad experiences in Hull or with Hull/Rovers fans and I'm not defending those involved. Yes I know their have been incidents and I have witnessed some first hand, Good Friday 1981 was the worst and the CC semi Final at Hudds was well out of order. However, the vast majority of Hull & Rovers fans just go tho the game to watch their team and enjoy Rugby League an then go home after the game.

For what its worth, I was a student at Huddersfield Poly and my best friend was attacked by a local Huddersfield man. Now shall I take you approach to determine what all Huddersfield people are like or shall I use mine that says I really enjoyed living there and the people were really friendly to me for three years. Sorry to disappoint you, but even though I was born in Hull, during that time I didn't hit or abuse anyone and never have!
