Why on earth would we play Wood in a match like this ?? Why would we play our usual no 11 Gilly in the centre and play a lightweight Bruno in the pack when he's really a centre ?? Its a small field where we were outmuscled at Cas back in February so why would we play Wood when Fooeys on the bench as back up hooker/forward ?? Surely we would play Raleigh or Horne? This will be an arm wrestle where you would go with 4 forwards on the bench ?? The ONLY answer would be that Brough, Robbo and/or Fooey aren't 100%!!!! and we might need a half back/hooker so Wood is risk management !!! When he's on the bench we play him 10/15 minutes where either of the others would play at least 20 it would verge on madness or brilliance my guess would be the former....

I can see why he's done it because Robbo was struggling apparently, Brough may have been sore after his first game back and Fooey is in his first back after injury. I don't necessarily agree with it though.

The forwards need to really aim up this week, big time.

I think wood has been pretty solid in the games he has played tbf, but Nathan is right to put him on the bench, we usually can swap round on the field with injuries but if say Leroy got injured we'd be stuck if we only had forwards. Gilly has been given the squad number 4 with the intention of him playing centre and when he played there at kr on a small pitch he had one of his best games. For me fooey is better at loose and with Robbo and wood it gives him opportunity to play there. Having said that I would have played Andy Raleigh to stick a rocket up the backside of our recently sluggish forwards.

It has to be personal with Andy, What has he done to Piss Brown off so much? We have been battered in the forwards 3 times recently and still cant get in??

id have started with wood at 7 and brough at 6, no issue with wood in team at all, only one i dont understand is bruno and gilmour in wrong positions.

just because they are named there does not mean that to have to line up like that.

I would imagine that they could interchnge during the game to have a breather and thus keep them fresh for tghe harder work in the middle.

Seems like a reasonable decision to me and guarantees that we will be strong in the centre position.

Putting wood in is right IMHO . Hopefully he can interchange with Robbo. 10 minutes before half time and 10 minutes after. Gives Robbo a god rest and allows him to attack tired forwards.

Cannot understand Raleigh not being in.

Pack still looks strong to me with us playing effectively 3 props in the pack.

He hasn't set the world on fire, you barely notice when he comes on but he hasn't done much wrong either, and has not performed any worse than any of the others.

our 2nd row, loose and bench will be our downfall. Too injured, too inexperienced and too lightweight. ah well, there is always next year.
