Do you really think in the grand scheme of things it was an important win for Hudds considering what happened at the back end of the season? Last Son of Wigan seems to be the Wigan's forum's answer to Leeds' FlexWheeler i.e speaks nothing but gobe.

It was a very important match for both clubs. Had the result been reversed then Huddersfield would have finished 5th and Wigan would have won the LLS. Had Wigan won their first round match, which given they are so brilliant at games that "matter", they would have done. They would have had club call and picked a weaker opponent for the semi final. That would have given them an easier passage into the Grand Final. They may not have been as fatigued then and so may not have choked when they got there.

However if you remember, we lost and still got to the GF. The number of points we gained from the season was enough to get us to the final; this is fact.

Clearly Wigan didn't choke. One of our players lost his head and was sent from the field leaving it a 12 v 13 contest for 77 mins.
