| Yeah the wider picture being the said authorities need to treat supporters with a bit more respect in consideration instead of the TV £'sssssss sign.

| Quote Smithfield Building="Smithfield Building"Billy Bull?
In my 6 or so previous posts on here I posted nothing but facts that I CLEARLY stated could be backed up in the press and through official statements. I then said anyone wanting to challenge what I put should reply with facts and not some here say propaganda because your chairman can do no wrong in your eyes.
So it really is beyond me that you say bull when if you want to go back and quote my posts and challenge the bits you assume to be 'bull', I'll be able to back them up. Each one.
As I stated on DATM I really don't give a love whether the Giants get on board or not, I can't see too much of a benefit to it. I posted where I was coming from and backed it up, the only legitimate response I got that somewhat answered the points I made was 'He rescued the club and legally took control of the shares, so he can do whatever he wants with them, and why shouldn't he?' Which is a fair enough response. Can't argue with that view.
End of the day you don't have any share in the stadium that was built for you either. It may be all cushty now but with the way things are going in sport there may well be a time when you're desperate for investment or to be saved and a sporting club with no share in the stadium they play in is far less an attractive prospect than one with (look ar Stockport County for an example)'"
Well for a start the shares were transferred for a quid. But hey, the t-shirts had been printed by the time you sussed that one out eh!
Quote Smithfield Building="Billy"This isn't about business or legality or denying that Ken saved our club from the brink of collapse (however reluctantly or with what motives) this is about morals and ethics. That ground was built for our clubs, and for our clubs to have a share in so that we could both prosper from it. These are sports clubs that our grandfathers watched and hopefully grandchildren will watch. Our 40% share which is rightfully ours should be returned so that we can benefit from the revenue it produces. We pay 75% of the rent for it!'"
Morals and ethics? If the man has, by your own apparent admission here, done nothing legally wrong then this isn't morals and ethics. It's BUSINESS and you're not going to get a better deal by pathetic attempts at intimidation.
You haven't actually made any solid claims at all. You've just stated KD is evil and it's all in the public domain. There is nothing to disprove because you've essentially said nothing noteworthy that is up for debate. It's all piffle, every word. If the cap fits Billy boy.
And this North Korea referencing; why not just go the whole hog and admit defeat by doing the traditional internet whine and reference Hitler instead. It's the go-to post when you've lost the argument!

Translation: we think we're more important than the game.
The pitch was inspected Friday and was playable. It was inspected early Saturday morning and deemed unplayable. It is unfortunate but it is life. But it seems some people think their lives are worth more than others.

If you're suggesting that if something is legal then it can't be morally or ethically wrong then we're done here. You're wasting my time.
Lost what argument....you haven't made a point? You can't just say 'you lost the argument'. Don't be a moron.

| Some of these guys are obviously not stupid people but the red mist has descended. Being a loyal supporter and having the courage of your convictions are both commendable virtues when not taken to such extremes. It's not about the shares any more; it's a peeing contest. Play the player, not the game.

Lives are worth more than who others? You're comparing people to a football and grass. This is the point I'm making.
Fans are more important than the game. At the end of the day the game is played for the fans. No one no where plays in a prospective sport with no one in attendance to watch.

I'll leave being a moron to you, you're doing ever so well.
You've been wasting your time ever since you came with no real foundation for any of your opinions.
You want Ken Davy to do something because you feel it is morally and ethically the right thing to do and then use morally and ethically dubious means to try and achieve it. ATEOTD the share issue is a business issue. It's not exactly morally right the bankers of Government owned institutions get whopping salaries and bonuses either. Why not print some t-shirts about that whilst you're at it, Billy?
You need to wake up and get over the massively inflated sense of self worth you have and shove your brain in a grow bag.

No, you are saying that the officials should have seen into the future to tell you what the pitch would be like at 9.30am on a Saturday morning and then announce it the day before because you think the world revolves around HTFC.

You're basically saying because something is legal, regardless of its morality - it should be accepted as is and we shouldn't challenge the status quo.
If you'd noticed people are protesting about the bankers too, because it isn't right. Hence why there's been an uproar regarding the Government-owned bank rewarding huge bonuses to its men at the top. Which has resulted in one or some of them not taking them. So what you've done is make the point that what we're doing is in vain, then proceeded to back it up with an actual event whereby a victory was achieved because people questioned the morality of it and protesting the case (pressure in the press in this case among other things), so at least we do agree with each other in that I'm wasting my time - you could argue with yourself.
Call me Billy more, it really affects me. In retrospect it really puts me in my place and adds much more weight to your argument, kudos.

I guess what I'm saying if there was 50% chance or more that the game could have been called off (imo) it should have. Even if they called it off on the Fri then on Sat it was suitable, it saves lots of wasted journeys and money that in this current climate could be better spent elsewhere. I don't think the world revolves around HTFC, but I think football revolves around the fans, or if thanks to Sky and the PL it doesn't - it should.

| Yes, challenge a perceived morally dubious action with morally dubious actions in return. Try and put words into the mouths of others. Come along to games of other sports and instigate trouble. Threaten your own fans in the refreshment queues. That is not challenging the status quo. Coming on here posting paragraphs of piffle with no actual content is hardly challenging the status quo. It's a bit special, that's what it is.
This isn't some noble moral crusade you're fighting here. Maybe it is in your own head and the head of a few more but it certainly doesn't appear that way to me and to the layman. Like it or not, you don't have all the facts and assumptions made by you and your ilk have snowballed out of control. You've let your heart rule your heads and it has backfired.
As for your opinion on the Leyton Orient game, again you need the reality check. You claimed there was no inspection the day before when there was. It is on the Leyton Orient website along with information that another inspection would take place on the Saturday. A key factor here was the distance between the clubs. Had it have been Sheffield Wed/Utd then it would be a non-issue. Last season ~550 HTFC fans attended this fixture. It is also up to the fan to make an informed decision here. The game wasn't on TV, there was no Sky pressure or anything like that. The clubs will have wanted the game to go ahead too, why not blame them? It's moaning for moaning sake and forcing your opinion as a better one without knowing all the ins and outs, just as you do with the shares issue.
