| HI Jools looking at it retrospectively and not decrying Broughys undoubted ability if Brett was supposedly on the slide with us, this supporter would have been delighted to have 12 more similar has beens in their relative positions who generallymaintained that consistency injury free
game to game and didnt appear to lose control/throw paddies/or bully his teammates when things just didnt happen on the day.
Then again when ive only one eye, youll have to take my opinion with a bit of inbuilt tolerance

| Hadn't he also come to us just a couple of seasons since his last SoO appearance and as player of the year at his old club??

Says a lot more about his game, I remember Mohamed Ali being supposedly past his best when he won the Heavyweight title for the 3 rd time, and i remember Bret going on to have a few good seasons with the Wolves after he became surplus to our requirements.

| Brett Hodgson may have been the wrong side of 30, but was clearly at the peak of his game still. I'd also add Brad Drew and Brandon Costin to the mix for quality imports still giving us their A game. Also quality British players that stand out are Kev Brown, Luke Robinson and Brett Ferris (even if it did turn very very sour). Then there was Super Stanley Gene.

Kev, Luke and ferres were very good players for us- but didn’t come to us as players at the top of their game- we got their best years -esp ferres who was average at Cas/wakey and shocking at Leeds!

Didn`t Hodgson win West Tigers player of the year in his last year before coming over? I remember watching him play from around 05 to 08 and he just looked the same throughout, never looked to be on the decline, okay he was getting older but I still think he could have probably played another few years in the NRL at the level he was playing at.

Yes he could- but that’s not my original point.
Sezer could also easily play on in the NRL but my comment was in response to someone implying he wasn’t all that...

Isn't that what forums are for. If we could only talk about news coming directly from the clubs themselves might it get a bit boring?
I would imagine that it would be a long and detailed process trying to get a quality half (who played in the NRL grand final & is still contracted in 2020) to persuade him & his current club to sign for us. We would also have to consider current overseas player quotas & the salary cap (unlike certain other clubs). If we can get this signing over the line I see him as a long term replacement for Danny going forward. It's that important to the club in my opinion.

| If this signing somehow comes off I will be very optimistic For the season- if however we take leeds’ offer for leeming I’d see that as a very big backwards step in what the club should be looking to do going forward.

Woolford is back in Oz 58 and I have no doubt he has spoken to Sezer along with others but until he has signed the only people that truly know will be Woolford the Giants and the player himself anything else will be just wishes or guesses.
