| Well I was disappointed with our performance tonight, but not too worried.
You played well, and your defence was solid as a rock, and you will be a hard team to beat this season.
Is going in late on the kicker part of Brown's tactics though, as it was fairly bad tonight.
Fair play though, you stuck it out and gave an 80 minute performance, we only showed what we are capable of in a few small patches.

There was one or two borderline late tackles on the kicker, but I think that is all they were. I think the ref really helped keep you guys in it. Still Orford will be amazing for you guys, the bloke really has talent. Burgess could be a big loss as I felt even without Mason for most of the game our forwards were the better pack.

I think thats going a bit far with the ref, more decisions did go our way in the last 10, but two of your tries were dubious.
I hope you're right regarding Orford, wasn't the best tonight, but he'll improve.
Hopefully we'll improve when Sculthorpe's fit and when Kopzcak isn't carrying a minor injury, but you're right, Burgess will be a big loss.

| I was a bit disappointed with Ganson. We conceded some stupid penalties, sure, but I thought that Bradford were treated with more leniency. It has to go both ways and Ganson makes a rod for his own back at times trying to be the centre of attention.

| Indiscipline was the issue, hence the penalties. Ganson was pretty clear from the start that he wasn't going to let much go tonight. I don't know how the other games were refereed, but if that's a sign of things to come then we could expect a few stop-start games this year.
Defensively Giants were superb, we could do with learning a trick or two from watching that back in the post game analysis!

When Orford put the bomb up that Hodgson spilled ,the guy who challenged for it was about 5 yards offside ,not seen by Ganson surprise, that led to Gilmors sin binning and the Bulls try.Ithink the Bulls were lucky because with a different ref the Giants would have won by 30

You've made some sensible posts following tonight's match, don't ruin it.
Your goal line defence was excellent, that's what stopped us being in it from the start (along with our errors), we stopped some of the errors and looked better in the second, yet still couldn't break you down. Ganson didn't tilt it in either side's favour, he just didn't have the best of matches.
Tbf, a different referee might have disallowed one of Cudjoe's tries for a forward pass and then Faalogo's for a double movement, swings and roundabouts.

Yes 1 of 2 last season, and you've beat us at home this season. Hardly a routine.

Some, yes, but people will find anything to put the Ref's down, even if it goes against their own side.
There were plenty of decisions which went your way aswell.

Know the feeling. I think we will improve with Fa'alogo and Mason 100% fit and with Drew, Fatz, Wild and Drew available.

Sort of puts it into perspective how much work's still to do for us. We need to take the individual sparks and fuse them now, once we gel we'll be a much better side.
As for the Giants, the only way is up from here by the looks of things.
