If he's signed nothing then hull have no business making an announcement and certainly not at the time they did! if he's signed a "pre agreement" then its been done to specifically avoid paying a development fee. Not against the rules but not particularly a moral way of doing things. I would imagine the RFL will look into things.

Dearie me, do we really care whether protocol has been followed, Do we really care that much that he has gone, yes he has potential but it has not come busting out yet has it, Maybe that's something to do with the coaching, but his lack of pace is always going to restrict him IMO . We have options every bit as good as Conner on the books now.

If he has chosen to leave, so be it, It's his right , lets not start to slag him off, which is what usually happens to players who choose to leave, And if any rules have been Bent, then let the RFL sort it. I will be amazed if he ever reaches the heights some people are forecasting for him, but you never know .

If hull wanted to do this "ethically" as they state then they wouldn't have made a massive announcement about this signing (that they haven't actually yet made- how funny if he changes his mind) in the week we've sacked a coach and lost a young player.
Both clubs have behaved badly IMO.

To be honest, i'm really struggling to see the relevance of Jake signing for us, to the tragic passing of a young man. Players switch teams all the time. Is it really such a slant on the Giants name that Another club has signed one of there players?

The story here for me is that Huddersfield have screwed up one of their core business processes.... Again. They wanted to retain Connor or extract a fee for him and have done neither. Then Thewlis compounds it all with his silly statements to the press.... Again.

It's not Hull FC's fault - Huddersfield have done worse than them re: Kopzcak when they were forced to pay a fee. Hull FC won't be paying any fee. The rules are the rules Ricky - study them and play the game with the rest of them.

I don't know Thewlis. He may be a bloody nice bloke. But I question how good he is at his job.
