2 for lifting the leg which were justified but apparently they didn't do anything wrong according to Mr B.
Not getting into a ref bashing thread again but I'll keep my opinions of our friend under wraps for now.
Attack wise we were awful again!!'"
2 were spear tackles and worse than what Blair got citied for 2 games for

| i have mentioned the 2 for that, they weren't spears but were justified because the legs were lifted, no complaints about those - stupid things to do.
You got 11 penalties to our 2, at least 4 or 5 were milked and the Ref fell for them. Unfortunately for us, or in Mr B's interpretations you lot were almost squeeky clean for 80 mins !.

Commentary was naturally very biased towards HKR and I lost the internet a couple of times so I may have missed some, but I counted only 2 penalties against HKR and 11 penalties against Huddersfield. Was it really that disproportionate? If so, was it justified?'"
yes we had 2 penalties, both for foul play, rovers must be the cleanest team in the league as i can't remember the last time a team wasn't penalised for a technical offence... bentham just chose to ignore it.
we did give some silly penalties away which is frustrating, but seriously can any side in 80 minutes NOT be offside or NOT mess around? bentham seemed to think so today.

| some of the falling on the floor was rovers players was special, i don't ever want to see this become a part of rugby league, i will stop going to games if it does.
there was one where the rovers player ( can't recall who was involved, think it was cudjoe for us) wouldn't let us play the ball so leroy pushed him away, penalty to hull KRsilly thing to do, but why wasn't the roves player penalised for interference?
there was an exact same incident with the roles reversed, and ...yep you've guessed it, penalty to hull KR for interference.
it's things like this that frustrate me, both incidents were identical, player interfering in the PTB, player shoves player out of the way to get a PTB but yet both different outcomes, and only one team is penalised on both occasions,
we didn't deserve to win today but yet again i am left frustrated and annoyed by the refereeing on show.

To be fair Bentham never gave an offside all day yet your lads were practically helping us play the ball at times. Good show by your fans today, fair few there and very vocal

Yes he did give an offside with about 3 minutes to go. You tried a drop goal and missed so he gave you a penalty for offside right in front of the sticks about 10 yards out. At 6 points in front how convenient was that?
And I'm not even going to go into the try he gave you in the first half when both the touch judge and in goal judge had attracted his attention to a knock on by Rovers in the act of scoring, when he totally ignored them and gave the try anyway.

Horne's try I assume you are referring to. No more than 10 yards from where I was standing. There was no knock on, a perfectly good try.

I honestly couldn't say who's try it was but the In goal judge and touch judge were both indicating a knock on, personally I could not tell who knocked the ball into the in goal area but I'm just commenting on what the other judges were saying right in front of us.

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |

Ah yes, the penalty when the ball hit one of your players and was then picked up by another in an offside position. Not exactly convenient, more the rules.

This is exactly the point, exactly the same thing happened at the other end in front of us when a rovers player picked up the ball while accidentally offside but no penalty was given to us, bentham was right there, saw what happened and played on. There is just no consistency the rules seem to change during games. The current standard of refereeing is the worst it has ever been, and I'm talking about from a neutral point. I watch as many games as I can and it's usually the same refs that are making dubious decisions. I don't mind a new ref at a game and making plenty of mistakes, for both sides, because the guy has to learn, has to get experience and that's fine I have no problem with that, it's the same experienced refs who change their interpretation of the rules during a game that are making a mockery of our game.
Unfortunately this will never change while they adopt the closed shop attitude and fine coaches for speaking out, again another archaic attitude that needs stamping out.

| I just think at times it fuels the 'refs are against my team' argument when certain Ref's tend to not award penalties to one particular team - hence Bentham with us, no one can tell me that of the 12,13 penalties of whatever he gave against us that Rovers only did 2 things worthy of a penalty all game - We have already highlighted 2 instances where he gave a penalty against us but when they did EXACTLY the same thing we didnt ???
And before Rovers fans start pulling us up for criticising just remember that chant we had to listen to last year !!!!!!

| I thought it was the in-goal judge who told Bentham it was a knock-on, either way he ignored it and gave a try anyway - makes you wonder why we bother having assistants if the refs choose to ignore them anyway !!.
