i noticed on the website it has taai has a prop/backrower now but i know what you mean by out and out props. Thought taai went well at prop when he played there.

| think some people are reading into squad numbers that have been given out too much, we know they might not play the exact position that the number suggests
wakeman seems a direct replacement for huby so no problem him going straight in the team if he is ready to go and shows up well in training
wakeman and mamo have come here to prove themselves i feel which is good for us, not coming just for the pay packet

| Well Boomer, if Stone considers Wakeman to be the best prop for the job, why would that be a critisism ? He wouldnt be walking into a starting shirt but, he would be worthy of it.

They can- but if they play Sunday- then find that the following game has been switched to Thursday you either have to switch another game also- or have a short turn around.
You will see, now you are in the big boys league, where you are playing week in week out against other full time pro teams the difference it can make if one team has 4/5 days recovery whilst another team has 8.

Atm - the 2017 fixture list doesn't show a 4 day turnaround for any one team.
Don't forget, short turnarounds will always occur anyway, at worse a 5 day turnaround. There is no team that plays on a Sunday then on a Thursday.
If what i suggested that all teams played at the weekend other than when on sky, then if you played on Thursday, then your previous game would've been played on a Saturday.
I can't see a problem with it.

Remember Wakeman was being considered as someone to bring in "down the line" by Rick Stone.
The fact that Huby left without much notice brought that forward. Initially he was not considered as a first line prop option.

| Why wouldn't Wakeman be starting prop no 10 ??
We have Rapira, Wakeman, Mason, Clough and Smith plus Sebastine and in emergencies Ukuma.
Four outright props and two prop/back rowers and probably it was the freeing up of Huby's wages that allowed us to get Shannon.

Because he's never played first grade? Just saying he wasn't in Rick Stones short term plans until Huby left.
Not saying he shouldn't eventually play starting prop but I'd say he needs breaking in gently - remember he'll have had no pre-season with us and consequently will be behind fitness wise.

a few options to replace him with is stone doesnt put him straight in, no team has even been announced yet!
and huby leaving early prob meant that we could afford to bring wakeman in early, better for us!
same with ikahihifo last season and symonds, they were probably 2017 signings for anderson but with the injuries and sl place at risk they came in earlier

The highest position I have seen anyone predict us to finish is 9th.
