What stone thinks/ or would like to do may be irrelevant if we have no wiggle room on the cap. If we can't offload unwanted players(and why would anyone want players unwanted by the bottom team) then he may have no choice.

According to most, Anderson was the problem last year, not the players, now people are saying we need to completely overhaul the squad more or less, but it's not knee jerking?
So basically, last season,either the coaching, conditioning,players, chairman, MD, kit man, etc were to blame for our poor showing

I think the current squad can do much better with better coaching and being fitter which is what most were saying last season. I agree with your point about the Bradford 3 but in general up to the last 6 months most of the signings have improved the squad. I would bracket Ormsby in with these 3, I don't consider him any better than what we have. We brought 3 good players in part way through last season don't forget and I expect some more progress from the younger players, Roberts in particular. I expect a much better season for us, how good remains to be seen, but I don't think this year's top 4 are spectacularly better than the rest so a good coach, a return to proper fitness and the right attitude could see a return to the higher reaches. Think positive!!

Bringing a good full back in will be the difference between us making top 4 and finishing in the bottom 4 in my eyes.

I agree with most of that, and i have said all along It's as much about coaching as anything else, But there are positions where we need new players and fullback is one of them, IMO we need to replace Big Eorl if possible (just an opinion ) If money is as tight as some people think ( and I'm not saying they are wrong ) Then let the likes of Murphy and Ormsby fight it out for a spot on the wing, But we do need at least a couple of new players, If for eg Wardle goes we need a good replacement.

The team needs boosting,
Hardaker, is an undoubted talent, carn,t think of a better one that is available
We need a FB
He has been a kno2head, he would not be alone at the Giants.
He is older, hopefully wiser

On the Rhinos board, Cas had it all done and dusted, 90K, till the Giants stepped in, make of that what you will.

Ive heard something similar but you don't know what to believe.

Ive heard we offered 120k + Kyle Wood for Hardaker, whether Hardaker wants to come to us is a different matter.

The only thing in our favour is if he wants to play in the England squad in the world cup he is going to have to be on form no mater who he plays for.

Well let's hope cas win out. We Arent in a position where we can afford to take on a player with known "issues" who would rather be going elsewhere. If he wants to go to cas it's not in our best interest to try and force otherwise.

Yorkshire Evening Post has printed in a article tonight that Hardaker will be announced as a Huddersfield player after Cas didn't match our offer. Interesting times.......

Agree with that really, I'm not put off by his reputation, there are plenty as bad, He is a class act but i wouldn't get into a bidding war over him. There will be quality fullbacks in the lower level in Oz, they just need finding.

From this its easy to see why the Bradford 3 maybe signed as squad players as we will be very short even still, especially in the PROPS.

You have Gaskell as a poor mans Rat boy Ratchford and can cover every position 1, 3/4, 6 & 7 and would probably end up in the centres instead of Murphy with Murph on the wing till Mamo is fit then Murph goes to Centre cover.
