Over the 80 minutes I think we just shaded it but boy did we nearly throw it away after taking a commanding lead and one I thought we'd keep hold of. HKR will most probably stay up as London and Salford are not up to scratch but they shouldn't dwell on the defeat today and keep harping on about was it or wasn't it a drop goal like Webster and Peacock are at the moment as clearly the men who mattered the most thought it was over.

Good luck to HKR next week and here's looking forward to a good clear out throughout the winter which see's us back challenging at the top end of SL.

Quote: Code13 "I don't think they were better

They had a lot of favourable position handed to them by marginal calls

Their last try never should have been given

We didn't have enough position to be able to stop them

Try watching the game instead of just looking for flaws, might make people listen to your opinion more'"

Might i suggest you try watching both sides mate, 18 points by marginal calls, and Just why do you think we didn't have enough position to be able to stop them " kindly ball bounces ".

We deserved the win on our first half showing, and thank God Brierley was playing. But don't try telling me you weren't praying for the final whistle like the rest of us.

Congratulations on the victory today. Super League all the better for having the Giants in it. Hope we join you after the MPG.

We were sitting behind the sticks in the North Stand and Danny Brough's drop goal was IN (Just). We had direct line of sight as did Hicks. Obviously as a Rovers supporter, I wish it would have drifted wide on the wind, but regrettably for us it didn't.

What, I'm saying we weren't poor in the second half

Well lacked the ball and position and it was due to some marginal calls against us

In the end it was a tight game

As for class, tell Jamie Peacock to get off twitter...

yep --and we can breathe easy for a change !

the whole team are chuffed I hear -especially after the announcement of the new Superleague format (to be introduced next season) which involves just one session of 40minutes rugby followed by a barbeque / social get together with all the fans and opponents !

Sounds good - although the conditioning team may have to up the ante a bit after the burgers , spare ribs and booze consumed !!

After the game at Leigh, the players have achieved what seemed like the impossible and avoided the MPG, by beating both Leeds and Hull K R. Unbelievable and well done.

Peacock has gone down in my estimation, moaning that the drop goal didn't go between the posts. Sore loser.

Peacock is drowning. He is way out of his depth in his role as football manager. Announcing he's coming out of retirement after the loss to Leigh just seems like a massive knee jerk reaction to try to get some control in the only way he knows how- on the field. His job is to ensure that they have a squad available to compete in the middle 8s, he's suspended his arguably best player and failed to foresee issues due to injury. We played yesterday with two prop forwards (one a rookie) and two second rows to interchange. He should have been able to manage the squad he had instead of thinking he could go out onto the pitch after a year and save the day.
He's little experience, non at a club like KR and he's way out of his depth.

what a game! never known nothing like it, from going 22-4 up to letting hull kr back into it (just like the prev time we played) except this time we come through with the win.

that drop goal, then their drop goal hitting the post!!! (we had a pen hit the post not long before too) then the disallowed try which we all thought it was game over then but was held is suspense ....nobody could bloddy see the video ref screen!!!!

what a game, what a day!

roll on 2017, never a dull moment being a giants fan

Why we love rugby league.

That drop goal effort from Campo from 40 yards out seemed to take for ever to float towards the posts, then the try that quite rightly sent the Rovers crowd wild, to say I was distraught at that moment was an understatement until Hicks sent it up 'no try' Wow.

Why no big screen for such an important game, thanks for nothing Sky TV.

What a great finale to the season yesterday! The old ring-piece has just about stopped twitching! Everyone, including the HKR fans, must have gone through just about every emotion watching it. The relegation fight has defo added a bit of excitement, frustration and disappointment over the last few weeks. Shame Peacock is a bit of a bad loser!
Did anyone else notice Derek shaking virtually every persons hand at the end? Top lad!
Looking forward to next season. Keep the faith!
(Grix 2 year contract at Wakey. Past couple of games him and Brierley have stood out for me)

Might have have been so much better if Stone could have coached Grix earlier on attack.
