45465_1384791340.jpg And last but not least, to all those people who wrote this team off.
To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

"We'd be appalled if his application was granted because it would damage the integrity and profile of Super League," after trying to block Catalans signing Todd Carney
He also had the following to say after trying to block Catalans signing Gregg Bird
"It is disappointing that a club should want to sign him," Hetherington said at the time.
"Our competition cannot become a dumping ground for other people's problems."
What are you whinging for? You've got rid of a problem in the dressing room and have some nice cash to show for it. Ferres must be glad he has a realistic chance to win something now. (Yes, we all know you won the hubcap a few years ago....)

| Not whingeing just stating facts as much as it hurts. Hubcap was load of e as well till Leeds win it now its part of a treble. Laughable how things change very quickly, depending on club involved.Aiiii Ferres will be delighted he can now win sommert.

| The hubcap means all unless you win the treble, or at the very least one of the other trophies. I suspect you know that though.
Plus comparing what Ferres has done to Carney who has been sacked by three NRL clubs, is quite ridiculous.

It also took us until the 1950s to catch up to you in CC wins

| This seems to be a very long thread for a player you dont rate and don't want.
Ferres is a good player who did a stupid thing and it was always on the cards he would leave. Personally I'm on the fence about if he is a good signing for us. He is good and we need to look at second row as an area for improvement. Just hope he is accepted by the dressing room and settles quickly. If he does then this is good for all isn't it?
SL keeps a good player, we get a good player in a position we need and you get rid of a player it appears you don't rate.
As for GH being a hypocrite, come on, we are all hypocrites when it suits us.

Disagree with this. The hub cap is important IMO. It shows you are the most consistent team through the season and super eights. You get prize money of 100k which is exactly the same as you get for winning the challenge cup, you get a place in the world club series for the next season which in turn brings more revenue to the club with ticket sales for that game, you get a home play off game against the lowest ranked team, which again brings more revenue into the club with ticket sales and you get a trophy out of it.

| I wouldn't have been shouting about it if Leeds had just won the hubcap last season. I would have been thoroughly disappointed. As it is one third of the treble however, and we already had the CC, it was important to win. Without going on to win the GF though, that home tie is irrelevant really.

| Ferres is reported to have said "It (his move to Leeds) is the Giants loss", whilst he is probably correct, it would have been nice if he could have apologised to the fans for causing this loss in the first place !!

I'm sure Ferres knows who he should be apologising to, and I don't think he owes the fans an apology.

| Really?
In the article in this weeks League Weekly, Ferres seemed to suggest it was purely the Giants decision to let him go, implying that somehow, him turning out for Leeds this season was the Giants fault and they had an option to keep him!
No-one is to blame for all of this apart from Ferres and his partner in crime and the sooner that penetrates his thick skull, the better.
He owes apologies to a lot of people including very many Giants supporters who idolised him and who are now through no fault of their own, being forced to watch him turn out for and strengthen the team of their closest rivals all for a cut-price fee.
I know I wouldn't mind an apology.
Fat chance.
Much as I rate the bloke as a player, as a Man, he clearly leaves a lot to be desired.

There is, as ever, more than one side to a story.
Unless you happen to be one of the parties intricately involved I would suggest you, like most of us, know nothing more than what has been reported or written on free for all forums like this. Most of which is just hearsay.
It's not a pretty situation but the damage is far more reaching than a few disgruntled fans. Let it go and move on is the best policy, that's what ferres is doing.
