| Just re-watched the game back on sky. Thought Bailey was good live, but looked even better on sky with tackling lots plus many strong carries. My mom and showed a lot of initiative.
Like everyone saying on here a good step in the right direction - thought a lot of players stepped up - still not perfect but going in the right direction.
Even with all the changes that Paul Anderson made thought that we looked more like a team this week and played more like a team. The best thing for me was the higher level of intensity and that's the intensity that we have been missing.
bring on Leeds next two easy points....

I agree, when someone breaks the line he rarely stops them! His tackles are pathetic sometimes! He just strokes them!

| Well the first fifteen minutes or so it was all looking a bit familiar, soft tackling, easy meters and silly penalties. Physically Wigan were on top, dominating in attack and defence; winning the ruck.
Once the Giants settled a bit got forward and actually put some pressure on Wigan though the cracks started to show and the Giants looked much better with much more effort.
I thought Patrick, Bailey and Lawrence were big contributors last night and also thought Bailey deserved MoM.
wood went well at half back and it would be nice to see him get a few games there, with Robinson doing short stints at hooker.

| I thought the effort was fantastic. The performance was bloody good as a result. Not perfect but a massive turnaround from previous weeks.
Johnson defiantly comes across being a better starting prop and played very well.
Wood again looks to suit half back.
Anderson's rotation tactics and squad choice was spot on.
Bailey was my mom, though Crabtree really made a brilliant impact.
We did have some luck in that game but Wigan still failed to defend it. Well played to the Wigan lads though. To go for it like they did after some great victories is a big ask. They looked tired in the end.
We need to have the same effort against Leeds. I hope this game is a start of some good playing form.

| Brilliant result!! just what we wanted a reaction from the lads and we got it!
the first 15 was poor though, if we had a full back that could stop a man/wrap up then it would be great but we dont.
thought the bench changed the game with patrick and crabtree to the fore!
my MOM was bailey, immense, all of them deserve to keep their place in the team now, chan..kopczak..mullally will have to wait their turn now.
great night
can still hang on to a top 4 finish hopes

| watching back how awful is the commentary. all pundits now seem to be following the phil clarke mould and becoming wigans number 1 fan.
lack of credit and respect towards the giants .

| AS good as the effort was that team last night will win nothing.
It was still too lightweight to compete but the effort was great.
Well done to Baloo. His post match comments were excellent.
" The players came in last sunday and i said your out, your out and your out , "
That was to Chan, kopczak and Mullally.
Hope it can be kept going. If they are out then i would like to see kaufusi come back

| A lot of Wigan fans on here and social media blaming the ref for their loss. I thought their youngsters looked jaded in the second half- one game too many for them and our change in personnel was the trick needed to give us a bit of a boost. They made too many handling errors at crucial times. Hope we keep robbo and Lunt and 9. And bailey and Lawrence have to play. Still improvements to be had but can't fault the effort.

| well done paul anderson! got the tactics/bench spot on last night, big decision leaving chan and koppy out for a game against the champions, but it worked, especially with robbo starting at 9 and lunt coming off the bench.
the starting props didn't let us down and the workrate and effort was there, but the introduction of crabtree, patrick and ta'ai was a masterstroke and we soon got on top.
i have always thought Eorl is a far better player coming off the bench than a starting prop, he was like the old Eorl crabtree last night...
the biggest difference for me was bailey and lawrence, we looked a totally different team with those 2 defensive machines in the middle as opposed to koppy's hopeful grabs.
i thought bailey was superb in both attack and defence, brough was back to his best and again we showed how bloody lethal our edges can be in attack when we bother using them.
the intensity and effort last night was far better than anything else we've seen this season and it showed.
although the first 20 minutes we were poor defensively again, falling off tackles etc, not hitting hard enough or wrapping the ball up and we got done for it,after that we worked our socks off and got a great result.

| funny how all last week was about how great and brilliant and awesome wigan's kids are etc after they beat a poor salford side, but this week it's a case of they had too many injuries, a bridge too far for their kids etc, they were beaten by a better side simple as, they could beat cas next week and they will be world beaters again, how fickle some sections of the media are eh?

| Only just got to see game.
Much more like it. Even in the wobbly opening 15 minutes our attempt to get quick ptbs and to get stuck in was a breath of fresh air.
The bench was awesome. Real power and intent. Thought Johnson went well, not the finished article but great effort. Eoarl better off the bench for me. Prefer faiumu off the bench long term.
Robbo at 9 with Lunt is hopefully something PA now sticks with. Trio of Bruno - Bailey - ferres the starting back row now, tough as teak, with creativity too.
Chuffed to after watching that. I'll give it a day or two and watch it again.
