Quote: meast "as i said sometimes the opposition is better than us and beats us, that happened last night, yes we were poor and lost to a team that had lost it's previous 5 games.
why do we always need to find a blame source and saying things aren't right etc, we don't have a divine right to win games,we have to earn it, we didn't do that last night, credit to the opposition they did.
let's just hope we turn up next week and earn the 2 points.
let's be realistic, we aren't a bad team, other teams are going to raise their game against us, and we took a lot of teams by surprise last year, that element of surprise is gone this year.
i'm fairly sure this one bad defeat won't make or break our season.'"
Well said, Meast. We are a good side, we are a top side. We will come good. Perhaps, for whatever reason, we weren't mentally prepared for this game [I lost a badminton match a couple of weeks ago against opposition I should have won comfortably].
Let's face it, some people just prefer to moan rather than accept that you can't play at your best in every match [awaits torrents of complaints]. [I was sitting in a room of people watching the game and some did nothing but moan from minute 1. Whobetide Grix for his unsuccessful attempt in the free play - he was right royally castigated. Trouble was, the complainers still didn't know this rule change, they were simply looking for errors, not good play.]
However, I will close by agreeing that we didn't play well.
