Nice fine for Baloo there!
Bentham was awful, awful, awful.'"
Gentle said to come and look at his recording as its a fair tackle...both coaches sticking up for their players shocker.

| we had to dig deep to win that didn't we?
don't think either side will be happy with the way they played, obviously the heat didn't help the handling or intensity levels, but still thought a draw would have been a fair reflection.
happy with the 2 points though and we showed we can grind a win out if we have to, as daz says we would have lost that in the past.
as for the officials, well poor,IMO, didn't affect the outcome but both sides had some shockers go for and against them, cant comment on either shoulder charges as I didn't get a clear view, I have praised bentham all year but today I think the heat got to him as well.
as for miller,i didn't see that either but sounds like he was rubbing a few noses in after the try was scored ( literally).

| Bentham was awful. He and his crew missed an awful lot of illegal play. I think he was just about evenly bad to both sides.
Yes, our first try did come from a Fergy knock on. But there were lot, lots more mistakes by both him and his TJs - the kick downfield where a Hull player guided it into touch and he gave Hull the scrum!!!
A disgraceful display by all officials.
However, we won. And that's an end to it!

| Just watched the Ellis tackle on Sky Sports News. He did not use any arms and made contact with the head with the top of his chest. It was not a shoulder charge as such, really a strange challenge with both arms out like a crucifix, I think he just completely mistimed it, on one showing not sure if Robbom changed direction or if Ellis thought he was about to, but any contact with the head is a penalty deliberate or not.
So, it was a bad challenge but not malicious, it should have been a penalty, that wasn't given. Ellis should not be suspended, he might get a caution which always seems daft when there doesn't seem to be intent. Seems like one of a number of things the officials got wrong today, both ways. The truth is somewhere between the Anderson and Gentle perceptions.
At the end of the day, rather than getting embroiled in a Giants v FC fans arguement both sets of fans should agree we all deserve better ref standards.

Yes like the tackle in the St Helens match where the ball was spilled after Ady Gardner slipped and caught Mullaley and we scored but it was disallowed and penalty given to Leeds by the video ref !!!
Stuart Cumins said the rule is any head contact even accidental is a penalty mmm someone should tell 'Bent' 'Ham'

so hudds gained a try and we got a scrum and you win by 6! hell of a lot of difference in that!
agree bentham was poor and his officials did little to help him, luck of the bounce went giants way this afternoon, tends to go that way when your higher up in the table

Leeds get alot of stuff but I don't think you can say they got the peno, when Gardner is clearly a Saint
BTW thanks for the 2 points that's all that counts, defence today was immense second half, and Mr Brough the magic to win the game, so a week off the league and a massive cup tie to look forward to.

| You got a try from the Robinson incident which should have been a penalty.
Lunt comment on radio leeds was class when asked how Robinson was.
He is fine I have just told him he scored a hatrick

| Thought Wood did ok for us and gave us that option when Robbo went off, having him in the squad gives us that flexibility.
Was that U,U,Ukuma first try for the Giants, great twist on the hit to score.

| Today was a really tough game, one we hung on in there and stopped their attack time and time again.
A gritty victory after they kept coming back at us and we showed great strength and character not to crack, we are in with a great chance.
The pundits were talking Wigan and Wire up after Friday when they both hung on in and gritted out a win, so did we.
It's getting very exciting, but we have to go one game at a time, feet firmly planted on terra firma and see this through.
