The same fans that are stuck in the dark ages of Fartown. We all know the history, but we're Huddersfield Giants now

The club will not move on until the fans move on, which unfortunately means the passing away of some of the older supporters

I quite like the design of both shirts but the collars stick out like sore thumbs and l personally don't like wearing turtle/polo necks. Why are the replica collars different to the players shirts?

A teeny weeny bit self righteous son dont you think !!
SG introduced his son to the game --as did I, and Daz and we still go so unless you want to see crowd figures approx halved -- a bit of accounting wouldnt go amiss

Im willing to bet that without the codgers season ticket purchases the figures would look somewhat more depleted than KD would like !
And by the way --they werent all dark ages mate -- that was just about the time you came in !!
So I suggest you ought to check the history you purportedly know before you start preaching the gospel rev!!

But be careful - though you want such as Daz, me, and SG gone it seems --your turn will come alas!

Most 'older supporters' are stuck in the Fartown tradition - both dark AND glorious. In addition, they also follow & support the Giants.

Methinks an apology is in order.

I'm afraid, though the old colours do have the associated tradition, they don't really lend themselves to being anything other than a playing jersey IMO. They don't go with blue or black jeans or pretty much anything in myn(limited) wardrobe. It's tough to find any clothes I have that 'go' with it. IMO that's a pretty important consideration these days, you need a jersey that people can wear while they're on their day to day business as well as when they're going to games. I can understand why the modern shirt mixes the colours up a bit.

TBH Baron i only ever wear my shirt on matchdays anyways and know most of the people i go to games with do the same so i cant agree with your argument there, in fact i dont think anyone i know bases the purchasing of a replica shirt on whether it will 'go' with other items they posess - but i do see your point as some will.

ALL GAVE SOME.. SOME GAVE ALL... Blue noses are born, Not manufactured. We do not choose, We are the chosen. Those who don't understand, Don't matter. Those who understand, Need no explanation .. as a jersey claret and gold is great, as a leisure wear item i think it isnt the best...polos/t shirts are best for mine in black or white...the new shirt isnt great but its made much worse for me by that "lightening strike".the club has to cater for new fans and us old fans who prefer traditional colours, this years offerings meet these credentials , so we should not complain too much

Mate

These Corduroy trousers are available in Claret or Gold. I think you'd look quite dashing with your C&G top on too.

On matchdays I wear a replica shirt but during the week i'll wear other Giants merchandise which tends to be claret/black or grey. TBH i don't see many SL shirts out in the street but lots of T shirts & coats.

I might not wear those fancy jeans with the really low crotch but I'm still too cool for cords pal!

You see quite a lot of Rhinos jerseys and all sorts around my neck of the woods. I think they need to be wearable in a social context, especially if he club wants to sell itself to the public of Huddersfield.

Thats not to say there isn't a place for a traditional shirt.... I have one myself.
