| Great News as far as I am concerned. Has been a good player but for me not a great one - should never have been appointed captain imo god only know why he was appointed captain over Brad Drew a few years back. The most glaring evidence of this was against Wigan following Edens knock on and the Wigan try - you'd have expected him to be encouraging his players to lift them but where was he? stood at the back of group not saying a word. Lolesi was doing his job for him!. Good luck to him and fair play him wanting to move for family reasons but to go to Widnes who add nothing to the comp?!!!!. I just hope its not another mid season unsettler for the team!

| Good luck to Kev for the future. I always thought he tried hard for us but reached a certain level & that was it. I don't actually think it was his fault, he's a centre NOT a 6 or 13 & NB played him out of his natural position. That's why he couldn't really cut it against the top sides imo. But the lad always did his best.
We really slipped up not getting Todd Carney imo. If we had Carney at 6 & Broughy at 7 we would have possibly won a trophy by now. Todd is a naturally gifted 6, Kev isn't. Neither is Grixy. But Kev always did the best he could for Fartown, & I thank him for that & wish him all the best.
BTW, Finch is one of the most overrated players in SL. Another past his sell by date Aussie clogging up a place that an English lad could do better & stealing a big wage whilst he's at it. Finch was good once, but that was years ago. No offence to Pie fans intended.

No i think you will find that you said;
[i2) Brent Finch (currently maybe not some years ago) is not as good as Brown as has been touted on this thread.[/i
That to me reads that you said Finch is not as good as Kevin Brown. Finch is currently a better player, he's been a better player in the past and Kevin Brown will never in his career reach the level Finch has.
That's not being arrogant that's just looking at current form with Finch arguably being the stand out HB in SL this season having played very well in some very big games. It's also taking into account what he's done as a player as well.
What is it that makes you think Kevin Brown is a better player than Finch? Is it his organisation, his running and passing game or is it his defence. From what i've seen Finch is superior to Brown in all of the above.

He's been excellent for us this season and is one of the main reasons we are where we are in the league. Maybe you don't see him every week like the Wigan fans do but he's been playing out of his skin.

And Kevin Brown would get closer than Finch to play SOO if he was an Aussie?
Bizarre...

| I have to agree with the Wigan fan here Brett Finch is top quality, he's better than Brown and would walk into Huddersfield's team, or Warrington's.

It's always really hard to tell if your posts are sarcastic or not.

| Would never knock Brown as he has been a tryer for the Giants giving 100%, however he is not the great player/match winner needed at 6 hence the move to 13 this year, I think he realises this himself, especially his kicking game which he always does more in hope than anticipation that something will come of it. Would have been devastated if it had been Broughy going as he is a true match winner, Browny can be replaced and would be a damn site harder to replace Brough. Wouldn't mind seeing Lunty back with us next season with new captain LOD at loose forward. Good Luck to the lad for next season and can see been one of many at Widnes in a complete rebuilding job.
Right let's move on, good luck to the lads for tomorrow, let's have a trip to the big smoke in the challenge cup and win some silverware. Wire were a bit presumptuous singing the "Ke sera sera" song today, let's get to the semi final in massive numbers stick it up them and make them look a bit silly. 2012 Year of the Giants

Desperate to bag the Giants. Your desperation seemed to coincide with Raleigh going to wakey. You appear to post on the wakey board since AR went there. He was not good enough to play in the back row for the Giants and some utter numpties bellyached about him being played prop. It was nasty NB. Now even a second rate coach like agar knows raleigh is nota back rower. No doubt Nathan brown is to blame for AR playing prop at wakey
Try not to project your obvious bitterness onto me sweetie.
And now KB is leaving you cannot get to the forum quick enough to bag Thewlis. But the way you have done it shows how dim you are. The idea that KB could be forced to go to Widnes against his will is hilarious. No intelligent person would believe that a club could coerce KB, with an agent like Andy Clark, into a move.
As for suggesting I hate the disagreement of others...au contrare....you could not be more wrong, think about it.

| Shame to see him go as he's been a good servant for the giants, but such is life he now moves on to pastures new for whatever reason.
Dont think he ever hit the heights he was once touted as but a good player none the less, lets hope we have a quality replacement at 6 because,IMO thats where we are lacking serious quality, good luck kev thanks for all you've done for us

| Whilst KB was not the wonder that the SKY players agency loves to tout, he was an effective cog in a top 4 side. His move out of the halves was probably a wise move long term, but move out of the club is a little unexpected to say the least.
I also think a transfer fee does not help nessasarily. Unless you can identify better elsewhere that you can actually get hold of. Lets say the fee for Brown is £1million just to exagerate the point, that £1million could attract other clubs to offer players on a transfer fee basis, but then Huddersfield still have to fit them under a cap. So they can say go to oz and offer money to cameron smith as why they may have the money to tempt the club, the salary cap would not attract the player.
If Brough was to go, Huddersfield may have alot of cash to spend but with no realistic targets to spend the money on. With KB gone, what targets do you think huddersfield would aim for??? Would it be a half, a LF, or another position????

| Well good luck to him, I can't for the life of me see why people think sportsmen are any different to the general public.
If my wife said she wants to live closer to her family for the sake of their children and a financially better offer came along, why would you turn it down.
Yet being a sportsman means you have to be selfish and say no, my career comes first, these guys have to do what's best for their families.
KB going whilst was a bit of a shock initially, clearer has been thought out, for us to get a fee and 'free up' a chunk of salary cap are the plusses, I'm now excited about who we bring in.
KB does a good job, but is he truly champion class? would we be better off with a change? who know?
One thing I will say is this is his last real opportunity to win something in his career, I don't think Widnes will in the next 4 years, so if he wants to win something he needs to do it with us, in the next 5 months, and I'm sure will be extra determined to leave with something.
PS KB you go with my best wishes, but bl00dy win us something before you go aye.
