| Quote: Baron Greenback "He had half a good season with us. And he was also a bit of a tit with the general public. I hope you're right and it does turn out to be a good signing. However, I think I'd be happier if Lunt went on loan and showed form which meant a loan was all it was.'"
Similar BG --but if Lunt`s being singled out cos of a misdemeanour - cant see why he cant turn him round and get him back on track !
Instead he feels he can rehabilitate someone who`s rebelled elsewhere
Cant readily see the difference --and I know which one Id rather see in the team on ability alone
but all will be revealed

| If shaun doesn't want to play for Huddersfield then what do you do? keep him or sign someone who does
who said Lunt has had any misdemeanour's?
I'd get to specsavers if you feel Lunt it better than a trained Moore. Oh and then of course, there's the money question. As an example, would you take someone who's fighting to keep their rugby league career for say £20k and wants to play for the Giants, or would you keep someone who doesn't want to play for the club, has his mind elsewhere, has his goals set elsewhere, picking up say £80k. Free's up £60k to sign some players up on longer deals

| Quote: COCKNEY GIANT "No one is doubting his rugby league skills - its his off pitch antics which is more worrying. If brown thinks he can stop this then good luck to him. Moore does not need to convince Nathan Brown of a long term deal its Paul Anderson & Kieran Purtil who has also worked with him at Giants & Saints.
I just hope Thewlis/brown & co will ask him to portray himself in better light because his twitter account suggest not - Its one big party!!! Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying he cannot enjoy himself but don't broadcast it to the world.
We also have a very stable squad but I'm personally gutted to lose Lunt for Moore - I really hope Lunt get himself a good deal if rumoured at Leeds and I wish him all the very best!!
As for moore he needs to win me over....'"
That sums it up for me. Like I said before I believe in second chances but Moore's career is littered with incidents. That isn't good. Having said that as Steve May says elsewhere, Danny Brough has matured at the Giants and maybe Scott Moore will.
Still while he's wearing a Giants shirt I'll support him.

I sometimes wonder who dreams these rumours up....'"

shaun lunt is better than scott moore.
shaun lunt wants to play and that is the problem he isnt being picked so his off loan to get some time on the field. the rumour has it that nathan and shaun have had a falling out so when he returns from the loan nathan will be gone.
with tommy lee out and brown not wanting to play lunt signs moore up to end of the season for cover.
im not one for rumours but this does add up

| I disagree that Lunt is a better player than Moore.

Bingo.
The Giants statement says that it frees some salary which will allow us to announce some longer term deals.
If this means we sign up EDEN then i am a happy bunny.
Still i wish Lunt all the best and he has been a great player for us. Good luck to him.

| moore got in the super league dream team when playing for us, get him back to that form and happy days!
its a massive chance for him till the end of the season so he should take it, brown will sort him out, he sorted mason, faalogo,o'donnell and brough out afterall!!!
we havent missed lunt and think he will be on a good wage....frees some space up to sign our talented youngsters longterm...something has to give at the top end of the wages to keep the young ones

| When Lunt signed his new long term deal to stop him going to Australia he will have had a hefty pay rise.
I would presume that as Moore is been offered what is in effect a last chance offer then his salary will be a lot less.
Eden will have signed on a deal paying him 'peanuts' as he was unproven at this level. He will have increased his value massively. The Giants need to sign him up long term which will involve offering him a vastly improved contract. As the Giants are running on a full cap then funds would need to be freed.
Moving someone on who is in effect third choice in his position and replacing with a player of at least equal ability on a lot less money would seem like one of the least disruptive ways of been able to afford the services of an exceptinally talented full back and at the same time not damaging the strength of the squad.

[iYou know more of the full story then?? Fire away!
[/i
who said Lunt has had any misdemeanour's?
Ditto above

[iIll pop down tomorrow and take a few more posters with me
We might iust get a discount![/i
Oh and then of course, there's the money question.
AAh now we might be close !!
As an example, would you take someone who's fighting to keep their rugby league career for say £20k and wants to play for the Giants,
Not if the player in question is no better (Purely my opinion I would respectfully stress)
As an example - Id first ask WHY hes having to fight to save his career ?
Secondly - there is at this moment I`d say, probably quite a few out there on less money who`d like to play for us !
If its just a money saving exercise -- then lets place an ad!
or would you keep someone who doesn't want to play for the club, has his mind elsewhere, has his goals set elsewhere, picking up say £80k. Free's up £60k to sign some players up on longer deals'"
If theres a deep belief that the bad boy will be "saved" --then Id say we could on the other hand persuade the other that the grass isnt always greener ! Would be the easier option surely?
As for figures -- you seem to be in the know -- so I wont argue with the maths
Like what I said --dont sprinkle crumbs
Spill the beans ! Give us the facts
From previous experience its the only chance supporters will have to form a measured opinion on the situation
Armed with your facts (and my new glasses) - I may ultimately agree with you !
