Lunt got hit as he passed the ball so the player was committed and there was no way of avoiding the collison. Lunt will prob miss next weeks game because a slight concussion (I think theres a mandatory 7 day layoff isnt there? with a concussion) but he was out at half time and sat on the bench talking to the subs etc.
Hodgson (B) had an accidental clash of heads when he got tackled in the in-goal area. Don't think there was any malice in it at all.
I think the game was a very physical one played but two large forward packs but dont think there were any thugish tactics. My only gripe would be the speed of the ruck which seemed slow. Overall I think Mr Bentham had a good game and dealt with everything he had to whilst trying to maintain the flow of the game'"
From a fairly neutral perspective (although cheering & wanting the Giants to win) i think that sum's up the game fairly well, Fartown handled what is well known as the 'toughest' pack in SL very well indeed and were fairly clinical when required.....

He penalised Finnegan (IIRC) at one point for flopping, when the tackle hadnt been completed when he went to join in, yet time and again the Cats players were piling a third man on as the Giants player was getting up'"
Finnegan's big mistake there was giving himself up by flinging his arms in the air and looking at the referee straight away, almost comical..... he should watch Kevin Sinfield do it for a masterclass in deception
