| Going back to the original Topic of Greg Shuttleworth. I noticed in the Banqueting Suite yesterday a photo of some if the team with a cup - probably the Third Division Championship - and on the photo were Greg Shuttleworth, Gary Coulter, Chris Parr plus 2 others I didn't recognise - probably due to the elation of us stuffing the Quinns yesterday.
I pointed the picture out to Ponner but by then we were too far away to look in detail, particularly as Ponner had lost his other half (and at Galpharm prices you need to hang onto your glasses of beer!!)

| Quote: azikhoindaba "My old man used to work for David Browns and he used to get two comps and take me up to Fartown during this era of Alex Murphy. There was a basketball player called 'Foggie', can't remember his actual name. We used to stand about the half way line and there was always one bloke who could be heard belting out "Come on Faaaaaaaaaaaarttoowwwn!" above everyone else.
We have spoken before of the memorable cross field try saving tackle from Kebbie at Mount Pleasant (another memorable ground from when I played there in the one of the first academy set ups in 94-95).
Nostalgia, good times!'"

Nice one. A pre-cursor to Crabtree? I remember he was quite popular.

His Brother is Adam Fogerty, former Blue Sox player, boxer, actor and now co-owner of a chippy in Linthwaite. Or at least he was a couple of years ago.

| I think Joe Naildole is on that pic in the right hand side.
Neil Flanagan was better than Greg Shuttleworth. Greg was a nasty piece of work when he wanted to be.
Highlight of that era for me was a Stuart Cocker interception try away at Wakey from in his own 20 with his mullet flowing in the wind, same game as him getting stif armed I think.
One of the funniest stories from that era was when Anthony Farrell got sold to Sheff (I think for £45k), one of the clubmen lost the cheque from Sheff on the way to the bank and the club had to ask for a new one.
