| Jumbuck, how do you know the whole team don't want to play for the club? that's a bit of a drastic claim.
How does he physically stop the players giving away penalties? once the players are on the field a coach can't control what they do, sometimes we have to give penalties away to prevent tries been scored, or shall we just let the opposition score at will, that will give people something else to whine about though?
Offloads, I'm not sure if offloads are really relevant, as it could be a tactic that we are using for different reasons, as fans, we won't be privy to that.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion on matters, even though i don't agree with many on here, but i don't think he is failing miserably, again, down to opinion but it depends on what you term as success as to whether he is failing.
Personally i think the players are failing, themselves, the coaches the fans and most importantly Ken and Jennifer!

| Anderson has done more than enough for him to have a chance. If Brough had 4-5 bad games most wouldn't be calling for him to get dropped but to play on and fix it.
Surely the same rules apply!
He's got us the league leaders and one game away from the grand final in his time here. I can't think of any available coach who could make us go that step further.
He'll have long term plans. He'll still be learning and this is the first time as a coach he's had to deal with an unsettled onfield team.
Worst case scenario let him have the till the end of the season to see how he turns things around.
We can still easily make the 8! That's the priority. We can still do well in the cup. We achieve these goals after such a shocking and disappointing start then that gives us hope for the future, and we all get a better idea of how good our coach is of turning things around.

| I agree Antony, but i would at least give him more time to turn it around, he deserves that, if things still aren't going well into the summer then look at making a change, but to just sack the coach after the disruptive start to the season is just knee jerking and crazy IMO.

| Quote: Jo Jumbuck "My point is this Meast, All these things that you have listed he seems to be failing at miserably.
Half his job is to get the team up mentally, and get them wanting to play for the club, Now if that was an odd player here or there fair enough, but It's the whole team, so obviously something isn't right.
Who's job is it to stop the team giving away endless stupid unnecessary penalties, I think we topped the league last season and nothing has changed this season yet, so nothing's changed there has it.
Where are our offloaders, Oh that's right we don't have any do we, Isn't that anything to do with the coaching then.
If we manage to beat Salford on Monday, there will be people touting him for England coach, and saying things like where are all the whingers now. And T smith didn't have experience at this level, but he did a lot better than we have now.'"
It's not just the losing when Jon Sharp went 0-7 we were only just losing not playing badly.
Last two weeks have been abysmal most fans I know would accept blood and guts losses but not the rubbish we have watched for the last two weeks.
Yesterday we were thrashed by a team that's been bottom of the league and played in last years million pound game unfortunately that's the real perspective.
Bringing in Dan Smith for Kopjack was madness and no doubt will bite us up the bum on Monday.
I'm not a whinger I just want a decent performance for my dollar win or lose even in the really dark days of the 70's and 80's they might not have been blessed with ability but 110% effort made up for the rest and you could genuinely get behind them, it's not that this team don't have talent in Spades they look unfit and disorganised and who else but the Coach should carry the can ??

| Why are we playing badly: a poor preseason friendly line up coupled with a new training regime added to a plethora of injuries leading to 5 different half back pairings and 5 different fullbacks (not including change rounds within games due to injuries in those games) Bruno and Murphy playing three different positions, Hinchcliffe woody and taai playing two different positions.
After three games with a settled side if things haven't improved then ill look at it differently.

just what i've been saying Jools, i doubt any coach would be able to cope with, not just the injuries but the disruption they cause. Jerry and Leroy, i think are the only 2 constants. whenever new players come into the team, the others have to get used to him, get to trust him etc, with a settled team, you know your partners, strengths, weaknesses and instincts and can cover for that accordingly, with a different partner, particularly in defence you lose that.
It's one thing having the injuries it's another trying to accommodate the player coming in, when we have a settled side, we are usually fine, we haven't had a settled side all year yet, and we have been lucky ( some will say it's due to quality of conditioning staff etc) that we haven't been hit with major injuries and disruptions until now.
Let's ride it out and assess it when we have a settled team again.

| Hi All - Used to post a couple of years ago under jakegiant, back again!
I understand everyone's frustration but we must stick together as a club. I honestly think we will beat Salford on Monday - we hit rock bottom yesterday and I think we will turn things around now.
Smith/Crabtree missing ( 2 first choice props ) Huby not played all season
Dan Smith is 22 as opposed to Kopczak who is 28? I have no doubt Smith will turn out to be a better player than kopczak in a year or 2
I think with a full fit squad we will be fine
Full back is an area we MUST recruit - im really not sure brierley will work as a full back and I hate to say it but jared simpson is just not the answer
Tom Johnstone on the wing for Wakefield would be a good recruit for any super league club

| Hi Jake, welcome back
You have some good points there, however the Jury is still out on Smith for me, as you say, he's only 22 and nowhere near the finished product so hopefully his best is yet to come.
I think, as Daz alluded to in another post, we seem to be missing Grixy's organisation at the back, whatever people think of him, he's an experienced player with god organisational skills, which we've missed.
People talking about things not being right, Anderson lost the players etc, but i think it's just down to the disruption we've had and a lack of confidence.
Hopefully a couple more wins will get that back and we can push on, hopefully with a stronger, settled side, until then, grin and bear it or carry on complaining.

| I posted on here that it's not just Anderson who is the problem. Mr C O Thewlis is the man who call the shots.
While Anderson has his faults he only does what he is Told. If you look at the last 3 games of last season and this season to date other Coaches would have been sacked. Problems in the dressing room do not help.

| Another spin on this is having leaders to lead the guys on the field, to encourage, to organise, to shout and scream.
I was talking to someone connected to the club during the week and he said although we have experienced guys out on the field none of them are 'talkers', as good as they are as players they are quiet on the field and just go about their jobs.
Also, that Brough is a good player but isn't the main man communicative wise.
We have lost our 2 main leaders on the field who were Robbo and Brett Ferres - those were the 2 guys who used to do all the shouting and bollocking and encouraging etc...and obviously Grixy at the back reading the plays sorting out the defence in front of him.
Take those 3 out of the side and you have basically got a team of players with no generals, the players trust the coaching staff and with every club the coach leaves on field stuff to the 'leaders' ....We have lost ours, maybe that explains some of the performances ?
People may want to disagree and think they know better but believe me they won't.

| Daz, i agree with that, we've said before and i said it on sunday, we are too quiet, apart from Brough, no one else was organising or talking, compare that with Wakey and they had Moore, Finn, Kirmond, Miller, even the young lads at the back were pointing and shouting.
Everyone has their opinions and unfortunately too many don't see the bigger picture, they just see LLLWLLL and shout for the coach to be sacked.

| Well meast, as you point out one win from last 7 outings.
Not good is it. You keep on defending those in charge as you obviously got a vested interest , as your posts show.
We fans will just leave it as our opinion counts for nothing. With the Sky money no need for fans money.??.
