| Quote: jools "Robbo has said that they are under pressure and suffering from nerves. That's nothing to do with effort or lack of.
Thing is if the players read supporters view that they think they aren't trying then that puts more pressure and more nerves.
A lot has been said about Giants "bottling" the big games, the current group of players aren't the same group as those that are said to have "bottled" the CC final, or "bottled" in the playoffs 5-6 years ago. The supporters are for the most part the same group of hardcore.
Perhaps the way the "supporters" behave in these circumstances is having an effect-compare with when Leeds/Bradford/Cas struggled just a thought......'"
This post is exactly why I have given up on te giants.
For 40myears it is felt like been in an emotionally abusive relationship with Huddersfield Rl.
Every week I go to watch and mostly feel deflated sad and disappointed at the end of it. But like a battered wife I go back knowing that sometimes it makes. Me feel nice and I hope it will get better.
But then before you know it you are voluntarily giving up your money , time and feelings of self respect and worth.
You get guilt tripped into going.
If the supporters get behind us we can move on. The club needs you. One last push, show your support get behind te lads be a loyal supporter.
Then you are let down again. You feel bad and sad and disappointed.
But you keep going. There is this emotional bond that keeps pulling you back. In your head you know it is bad for you but you cannot stop. Your heart rules your head.
Others tell you it is bad for you. Your kids say I don't want to go to rugby dad because you are so miserable when they lose.
But you ignore your kids. You keep going back and then end up being sad and disappointed.
Then LOYAL SUPPORTERS come on and blame you for not getting behind the club. They are like the abusive partners friends blaming you rather than the perpetrator.
This is the fault of what has gone wrong in the club inside. That is the problem the culture the management the organisation.
I have started breaking away over the last couple of years getting out of this dysfunctional and abusive relationship with the Giants.
Long before this season I was giving up.TOMORROW I AM TAKING MY KIDS TO flamingo land. 3 tickets £60 ( Giants would be £40).
I will spend 8 hours there. My kids will play laugh and enjoy themselves. I will leave at the end feeling happy and having some good memories of my kids enjoying themselves.
No more Giants for me. They can look for other better fans. People who are more loyal than me

| So the poor lambs are feeling nervous......well about bloody time cos that suggests that FINALLY the penny has dropped! Most of us have pressure every day but still do our jobs professionally, yes the odd mistake but no lack of effort and if we aren't up to it there are consequences.
The players and coaching staff have got us in this, now is the time to step up and be counted.
Jamie Ellis mentioned in the Examiner about needing the fans as the 18th man, well let's turn that around shall we...the 18th man needs the first 17 to come to the party...the fans need YOU!!!
Nervous...Good! You are professionals, let's see it for the next couple of weeks!

Jools --it doesnt wear anymore with me and others ! Its always passed down to us to get behind the lads
Personally I dismissed the performances when we suffered all the early season injuries and "got behind em
The wins over Hull and the Millenium performance proved we CAN do it (when we want I add)
Where were the nerves after those type of performances ? Why didnt we kick on and go forward?
I honestly cant excuse the losses (widnes / Hull kr ) when we were approx 3 scores up and the wondrous other 40 min performances against Batley etc and the "picnic" at Salford
I never imagined that you`d question the allegiance shown by others on here who`s main love is RL
Can only think that Robbo should be a negotiator now !
Robbo never took a backward step but his body said "enough" --so I really wonder what his inner thoughts are?
But to believe hes talked YOU round Jools!
Someone you know very very well said(quote) "[iThey are a set of good individual players but a simply awful team. Selfish, Spineless and bottleless.[/i"
Unless they can go out in the next two games, show again what they CAN do and when required and
prove they can retrieve the critical situation theyve put our club, the fans, and KD in , I think your close friend was nearer the mark!

If they suffer from nerves then no- they aren't dealing with it well, they have bottled it, they are spineless - but when we are in a difficult situation we feel nerves. I was a nervous wreck before my driving test all those years ago- I remember the first time I did a presentation in front of a lecture hall full of people I felt physically sick- it seems daft to think that now! how many have had shaky hands when sat in a job interview, or stood in front of the altar.....
Nerves is a very difficult thing to control- the fact they don't seem very "together" as a group won't help. I'm not blaming the fans but I do think we are more unforgiving than other fans- because as you say it's been more downs than ups. Extra pressure doesn't help.

Hmmm- of course London beating Salford means if London hammer fev by 50-60 points, Leeds and KR beat us by 30 each and we finish 6th.

how many times have hudds bottled it though, as recently as leigh then salford away then last season v leeds in the last few mins then all the semi final play off defeats...sometime it has to stop...hopefully not too late, two/three big games to come , lets hope they snap out of the cycle asap
warrington by the way are now known as the new chokers not us

yep, for me this means we are likely to be at home in the mpg , much better than what the scenario was going to be and having to play away
