| Quote: Code13 "Good game tonight, very solid performance - still areas to tighten up but superb defence absolutely superb
Good to see Connor back at centre and looking better for his break
Can't fault anyone tonight - and how good was that try from Gerry'"
It was the kind of game you are really happy to come away with the points, It was never going to be easy against Catalan, They play to wind the opposition up, and play the ref to the limit.
I thought we handled it very well, certainly in defence anyway, and when a team is offside to the extent they were It's not easy to make chances. Clever switch of play for Murphy's try and McGilvray's solo effort was very nice.
It wasn't a great game for football, but I wasn't expecting one, few teams play well against Catalan, I think the Ref was as much to blame as anyone for that.
Onward and upward.

| Excellent 2 points.
Good solid performance.
Favourite moment of the game was on the jack Hughes try watching the Catalan defender asking ref to go to the screen.......

I think he had a solid game, did well in defence and made some powerful runs
Murphy is wasted at centre and in my opinion not at all effective

Somewhere in the dust of time rest the bones of the Galilean
He who was spat upon. He whose face was marred beyond all human likeness
Somewhere buried among the lies of the past rests the tomb of Yeshua
Of he who was made God in a world without Hope.
And when this son of Joseph is found. What then will the Church of Rome say?
Prepare yourself for the day is coming. And men will say
"Blessed are the wasted lives who perished in the flames of the holy war": |

Can't argue with any of that. Don't think anyone had a poor game. I also liked the way he stood up for himself against 2 Catalan players and didn't react despite getting two half hearted punches thrown at him.

Whats that coming over the hill .........: |
|
| Quite honestly I thought it was a poor performance until the 45 minute and then we started to play rugby. Before that there was too many errors, and because of this could not get control of the game. Yes the referee was poor again yesterday, but unfortunately they ain't going to get any better as that's the rubbish we have, and to be totally honest it has ruined the sport, as they are poor week in week out.
This is the time the team should be raising their game and playing the full 80 minutes, but it seems we can not do that, and unfortunately that is going to cost us.
For me Jerry has been the standout performer this season with Murphy a close second, but if the rest of the team performed to the consistency of these two, who do seem to try week in week out (yes they make errors, but who doesn't) we might get that full 80 minute performance that's required to win the games we just lose out on, but it seems some players think its acceptable to not give it their best for the full 80 and if that's the case we could be waiting sometime for further silverware.
From what I have seen this year, I don't think we will get the final trophy on offer, but I hope they can prove me wrong.

Thought he went quite well. Dropped one easy pass and chose to kick on first tackle after Murphy had collected ball from free play. I actually think he still thought it was a free play as he is not the smartest. However he tackled well and ran with purpose so should really keep his place next week.

| just dont think connor did enough to keep his place and keep broughton out of the team , he made a few handling errors and one daft kick forward which anderson was fuming about when i saw him up in the stand on his feet!
was glad to see connor back as i think the backline we had was the best we have now but he let himself down, like bailey did last week and he got dropped so can see it him getting dropped the same

Personally I think Murphy has an excellent footballing brain.

Thought Connor did OK. Shows more mongrel than more experienced players.
Seem to remember a superb on handed catch as well.
Thought Cudjoe's defence was great. Keeping tabs on Taia like he did takes some doing - he is their top scorer. Cudjoe defence of old good to see it returning just at the right time.
Hughes consistent again and I thought Kopczak did well. He sparked us up a bit at the back end of the 1st half. Also did a superb chase on one kick late on when he was way ahead of anyone else chasing - and he got the man down a few yards from their line.
A solid performance from everyone once we got going.
Jerry try icing on the cake.
