| As has been said, Grix had a weak game but he was far from alone in that respect today.
Not for the first time this season Grix's tackling was poor and he didn't create much in attack, despite his efforts, but this afternoon that criticism can also be levelled at Robinson. Grix is generally a good support player - what a shame he wasn't able to get up with Koppy when he got through! Leroy missed a bad tackle, Jerry made mistakes, Murphy made mistakes in defence, I could go on.
If the calls aren't going for you and you're up against a top side you need everyone to be on top of their game, but there were too many uncharacteristic errors and too many soft tackles, enabling Warrington to make hay with their strong running and offloads.
All of their forwards provided the impetus and drive to let them make yards up the park. Ta'ai (in his first spell), Lawrence, Faiumu and Patrick offered no such go-forward. Mullally, to his credit, stood up well and I hope he gets chance to stake a claim, especially with our injuries in the forwards. Had we Chan and Fielden playing I'm sure we'd have put up a better show and wouldn't have given them as many opportunities for offloads or space in the middle of the field.
Perhaps we're punching slightly above our weight with our squad, but Anderson's got us playing well for each other. A bad day at the office today against a strong side, but we're still up there in the league. It's going to get tougher with our injuries mounting so it's down to the players to keep showing the spirit and determination that has characterised so many of their performances this season.
On a side note, I thought the fans were great today. Yes, we ought to be getting more through the gates, but the spirit on the terraces seems to have improved this season and today was a clear high point. Well done to all concerned!

| He wasn't good but neither was Robinson or Cudjoe. And worse still Mcgillivary who was a complete liability.
However the main problem was the absolute lack of any aggression and go forward from the pack.

| Wire were up for it and wanted it more. They basically bullied us and coupled with them getting all the contentious calls we were never really in the game.
Teams tend to get the calls when they have the momentum. Bentham made a couple of real howlers though IMO that led to tries. Equally however we contributed to our own downfall. We didn't respect possession and defensively were grabby instead of getting stuck in properly. It was easily Cudjoe's worst defensive game of the season. Wardle too IMO, who usually loves to time a tackle and grass the opposition. Not today.

| Bentham gave three knock on's against us first half (two Taii and one Kopczak) each time Warrington had three men in the tackle and each time an arm clearly pulled the ball away.
Having said that I could only hope in vain that the Giants would show such aggression in defence.

| Seriously, there is a Scott Grix thread after that collective performance?
Some people seriously need their heads checking.
In case you didn't notice: our pack got completely taken to school today.

| I know these are only peoples opinions but we all know Scott Grix is a confidence player who like it or not, is our Full Back. Do we really think this is in some way going to help? I think not, let's get behind the whole team cos next week is a massive game and we need to come back strongly and murder the tigers.

| Grix was no worse than any other player so leave the kid alone. He will always give it his all and that's all a player can give.
Certainly wasn't the worst player in the back line that's for sure.

We were outplayed, no doubt about it. Largely by a forward pack that showed desire and ruthlessness in attack and defence. I think Paul Anderson's comments are fair: "We saved the worst for the best".
However, if you think that is our A-game then you're very much mistaken.

It must be a worry if you can't get up for or bring your A game to a quarter final. Do you think this is an indication of a lack of big game mentality or the start of your annual decline?

| Good to see the "annual decline" topic make an appearance.
No it won't be.

It might be a worry about bringing our A-game to a quarter final, but yesterday was the same script that I've seen twice already this season against Warrington. It was the result of getting completely bullied in the middle of the park which resulted in a massive possession deficit. If you have as little of the ball as we did, then any team will usually beat you; if you do that against a team like Warrington then you have to expect to get embarrassed.
It's not the start of a decline, in the two previous seasons our decline has started in or around the mid-point of the season either over Easter or at the "magic" weekend; whereas this season we're six games from the play-offs, sat second in the league and part of a three horse race for the top spot.

Until we prove otherwise you are may well be right.
Brown's boys would go on a poor run after a show like that its up to Baloo to put it behind us and show Andersons Army are of a different mentality.
