One of the commentators in the CC semi made a point that summed him up perfectly...79 minutes played, 30+ tackles and he is still the one chasing fastest and hardest to score the winning try.

Surely one of the most professionalplayers ever to wear aC&G shirt his dedication and inspiration to those around him is immense. Phil Clarke said on the SL show a copuple of years ago he would be the first name down on his team sheet.I wish him all the best for the future. Perhaps he could stay on a pay per play agreement?

If he stayed on a pay per tackle basis he would probably be the top earner at the club. If this is definite then surely he will get a decent contract elsewhere.

I presume things have changed with Tickle going back on his word.

I for one think we should sign him up, yes he gets injuries but who does not, one of our best players, i think it would be stupid to let him go. When it gets to big games he always performs, we need some experiance in the pack and he is very versitile.

Injuries in recent years have simple seen him on the side more than on the pitch can be the only reason.

I think Wild will be on a good salary and with the club already having an abundance of second rowers it may make financial sense. I can actually see another couple of second rowers joining him in departing the club.

He has though been a great player for the club. To say he is injury prone is a bit untrue. He has had a major knee operation in the off season and apart from one other spell on the sidelines in 2008 has hardly missed a match and eventually all players will pick up some kind of injury in such a physical sport.

Wild is again injured and is carrying persistent injuries with his wrist, knees and shoulder. It would be suicide by the club to keep him on a contract. Also very foolish of him to mention this and put it in the public eye as he has had no offers from other clubs to date.
