...but starting forwards and pairing them.
Get the impression that Kopczak and kafuski will be together to start, rather than big Eorl. I do like Eorl coming off the bench as he is a game changer - with both players around him and fans - but this would be a different approach to last year, plus him and Kopczak definitely got a decent understanding going last year.
What are your views guys ?'"
I'd start with Eorl and perhaps try to get him to see the first half out and then keep him back for late in the game if required as always feel he is more effective early doors and does not seem so impressive off the bench after 20 mins or so. I can not see him wanting to miss the start of any game and perhaps giving him the shirt and it being his to lose will keep the performance levels high.

| Quote Last Son of Wigan="Last Son of Wigan"Hudds are never a real threat. We know they're no real challenge when it comes down to it, like last season, we happily went to your own ground and gave you a good beating which allowed us to go on and win the GF, which was our second trophy of the year after winning the CC.
Everyone in RL knows the league is a joke, if it wasn't Hudds would have never have won it, last season the best 3 teams were Wigan, Leeds and Wire, one of them would have won the league if it mattered. You're kidding yourself if you think you can compete when it matters, just take a look at the games when they count, i.e the playoffs, you were beaten by both Wigan and Wire.
What would Wigan rather do? Risk injuring players in a nothing game against Hudds or go to Sydney with a full strength side to play for the WCC, a game worth winning? That's a no brainer.
Hudds may win on Fri, but only cos Wigan have bigger fish to fry. And please, lets not compare playing in the WCC to a nothing game v Hudds.
For you thou beating the champs (of both trophies) is a big deal, for us playing for the WCC is much more important.
Just facts pal, as hard as they are for you to take.'"
God post at least 15 bites. Thank God we only play you twice a season so we dont have to put up with such a wit as yourself more often. In fact if you doubled your wit you would probably qualify as a half wit.

| I'd play Broughton. He's likely to be a match winner, especially with Charnley out and no Richards.

Joe Burgess has had a lot of hype and would be very wary of his threat and doubt he has Charnleys power but pace wise we do not want to be leaving our wingers exposed which is why I myself would go Murphy as he may not score 2 match winning tries (though he did there last season) but his saving tackles or putting off the player receiving the final pass could be more important than a bit of magic from Broughton.

Eh? Lockers didn't leave. If anyone carried us through our important games last season it was him, Flower, Green, Smith and McIlorum. Come to think of it, no one carried us, it was a team effort!

| I'd go Murphy over Broughton, simply because he was superb last season and it would be unfair to drop him straight away for a new guy, as good a player Broughton is it should be Smurphs shirt to lose...

| Quote Last Son of Wigan="Last Son of Wigan"If Wigan want this it's a Wigan win. Hudds can't compete with Wigan if Wigan want it (see the playoffs last season).
However Wigan could have an eye on the WCC and rest a few or not go at this full throttle, if this is the case Hudds could win.
Hudds no doubt will be seeking revenge on Wigan, afterall they're probably still bitter about losing to Wigan when it matters.
Even if Wigan lose (which lets face it means nothing with the way the league is structured) they'll stlll beat the pretenders when it matters.
Hudds aren't a threat to Wigans def of the GF or CC.'"
As a Wigan fan, when I read posts like this it just makes me cringe. Two seasons ago Wigan piled everything into finishing top and then ran out of steam come the play offs, if Hudds have learned the lessons Wigan did, you'll definitely be a threat, some of our fans just make me want to go AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHH

Exactly. Opposition teams shouldn't pin their hopes on Tomkins not being in our side. He was very quiet all the way through the play offs and the grand final last year yet we still found ways to win. His presence was still valuable to us in those games as teams pay close attention to him (leaving space for others) but Bowen will come in and preform a similar role. Also when Hampshire gets a shot he'll take the league by storm.
As for Huddersfield, you've made some more solid signings and will again be very consistent. It's all about taking that next step now and winning one of the two big trophies. This year will be a good opportunity because I don't think Wigan or Wire will be quite as strong as they have been and you have a good record against Leeds.
