My reference to turd was you trying to make the best of a bad job. Wakey don't want to lose Brough, their hand is being forced somehow if this is actually happening. So we can debate how good he is or whether he's turd or not all day, it doesn't really matter does it. If he leaves you he's crap, if he stays he's ace.

like i said you have a quality player and wakey get a good deal compared to the nothing in return we would of got in september/october and have now displaced a player whose heart wasn't really in it.

So what's your beef? You want some kind of moral victory because you think we've paid a fee for him?

I don't know if he's coming. I don't know that if he does come whether we've paid a fee. I do know that in the past it has been stated that the days of paying fees for first graders is long gone. Now whether that is greyed by the size of the fee or whatever I don't know.

What I do know is that if this does come off then something weird must have gone on because we're mid-season here and this is pretty much unique circumstances. Clubs sign lads from the NRL mid-season, they don't do this.

We don't actually "need" Brough now. We have depth in the halves. Anything that may or may not be going on looks to me like it's being prompted elsewhere and so if we're getting involved in transfers now it can only be for a situation that suits us. It may be that it suits you too in the bigger picture, who knows.
