You're allowed 7 aren't you with the kolpak rule?
If we lose Frawley then we have Uate, Sezer??, Edwards, Taai, Gavet, Matagi so leaves one more space?
Leeds have
Adam Cuthbertson
Trent Merrin
Wellington Albert
Ava Seumanufagai
Rhyse Martin
Konrad Hurrell
Rob Lui
Yet they are also linked to Matt Prior too?

Still counts as non-fed trained.....
Why don’t people understand the rules!
5 quota
7 non federation trained
A player can be on either, both or non of those lists but with the federation TRAINED passport makes sd all difference!

I get the impression we are keeping hold of him because the Sezer deal isn't quite done.

| Can clubs go over their quota?
Only if they are granted special dispensation by the RFL.
This is uncommon but does happen. As an example, the RFL gave clubs dispensation to sign Krisnan Inu, Wellington Albert and Adam Tangata when they were released by Widnes due to their financial issues. Those players don’t count on the quota for their new clubs for the duration of their contracts.
Additionally, another dispensation recently added was the New Talent Pool. This means clubs are given dispensation on the salary cap if they bring in an athlete from another sport. As an example, Warrington were given dispensation on their quota to sign Burrell, so he does not count on their quota.

Luther Burrell was born in Huddersfield so he does not require any dispensation to play in Super League.

| It's quite funny on here the way people castigate players who want to leave the Giants, they are disloyal and all that kind of tripe, Funnily enough we don't get the same kind of stuff aimed at the players we sign from other clubs, we are just exited and pleased to get them without a second thought for the clubs they are leaving. Leeming wants to leave, that's his choice, If the club allow him to go then good luck to him i wish him well, He will probably do well with another club players usually do when they leave the Giants and who knows we could be buying him back in a year of two.

Good post Jo but the thing that for me is most annoying is the fact that players are happy to sign a contract for a set number of years at a set amount of money.
Anyone player or club should be bound to this agreement and honour the contract they sign.It is my opinion that some players may be influenced by some people other than their own self.
It wont be the first time and it will not be the last.

There’s a difference between quota and non-federation trained players. I think you are also getting mixed up with salary cap. Since Luther Burrell was born and raised in Huddersfield he doesn’t get dispensation On quota but his wages don’t count in the cap year one and not fully year two

ALbert only signed on 1 year deal anyway and played mostly at Fev. not a Leeds player in 2020
