I thought he was saying "so it isn't you who is £158K over the salary cap?" As there is a rumour going round that somebody is?
That just implies that he's taken on board what was said so somebody else must be over the cap?

Jake Connor's reps have today told Hull, Huddersfield and the RFL that he will take up a deal at Hull FC next season. Story in tom's Mirror
think that puts an end to the saga

Will need to step up next year or he won't be in the Hull 17 when all fit, Radford has done pretty well improving a few younger players game whilst at Hull, so will be interesting to see how he goes.

He has the Talent to step up his game, whether he will or not remains to be seen, It will depend on the coaching to be honest. Like half the Giants squad he has been badly messed about and never has a position of his own. We are now reaping the benefits of that policy.

Watch him mix it with any big name forward who tries to take the pish.

Can't see how that will improve for him TBH. He says he wants to play FB. He won't get in front of Shaul. So it looks like he will be filling in at centre, or in the halves but I can't see him being first choice for either.

I think you are right, I don't see him being at Hull very long at all.

| He's had an awful two games at fullback in defence. He's either not reading the opposition at all or is too slow to react. His strength is his attack and so in the halves but we have better. As I've said I don't see the point in playing him when he has no incentive to play his best for our club and we've no inventive to pick him. Give it someone who does. Put brierley back to FB. If we are still struggling with injuries Give Simpson another go -Darnell mackintosh is playing well at the minute too. Although U19 have their own injury problems

[iNo that was (allegedly) a previous coaches take on Greg Eden so he`ll have to wait in line

wouldnt be in the first 17 next season
[iThat would be more to do with the new coach -if he was staying - which he aint! (allegedly)

...................[i.and back goes the half back to full back -AGAIN! More of the same musical chairs which has contributed to this seasons failings?

[i(down to new coach but for goodness sake lets get a settled and established team -unless of course we want to perpetuate this ongoing chop and change /mix and match strategy ) If we hadnt come up with this notion of playing Brierley at full back, bit the bullet, and linked him with Broughy we might have had a pairing that worked by now ! Instead we`ve had players all over the park /week to week ! It HASN`t worked and the evidence of now reverting to somewhere near a logical format too late was clearly in evidence on Sunday Like rabbits in the headlights from 15 metres out! And its not ALL down to early season injuries --thats just an excuse and was history ages ago! [/i(Just my opinion of course!)
But theres nothing to be concerned about ! Weve 7/8 more games to experiment yet! Not sure Mr Stone will have read that in his brief and see it that way

| Brierley was brought in To learn to be a fullback. the current coach will have to deal with the previous coaches playing squad. He may not agree but it Seems daft to have Ellis and brierley vieing for one spot. It's a waste. The reason we have chopped and changed this season has not been on a whim- it's been down to the fact that we have had a large number of injuries to key personnel AND their back ups.

I know what you are saying here jools, but I don't agree altogether, There as been nothing to stop Breirley playing every week since he came, Only P Anderson, and he's gone now, Who says besides PA that he has to be a Fullback. I know you are saying Stone will have to sort them out, and you are right about that, But if he goes down the same route as PA, I will be badly disappointed.
Stone needs time to assess them properly, but we need to win games now and keep winning them in the 8s. If we are adamant that Ellis is going to play " come what may " then put Breirley at fullback and leave him there till the end of the season, lets find out if he is any good. Personally I would play Ellis at Hooker, or even LF with breirley in the halves. but I am not Stone and I don't really care as long as we keep a settled side and start to win some games.
