Maybe the players had that attitude too and that's one of the reasons we didn't !!
The players have to perform on the day to get the wins ...the coach does his work before the game and the players have to do theirs on gameday - if not, we lose !!

It's the coach's job to get the players physically and mentally prepared for a tough game every game. For all we did not perform today we had the chance when a few points adrift to roll up our sleeves and push on.
There has been something wrong all season, rumours of Brough been unhappy, the lack of spine and backbone in the team when it gets tough.
The coach seems to have lost the dressing room to me I hope not but if it's true there's no way back and the lack of spine and leadership on and off the field reminds me of the latter days of Nathan Brown and we hung on to him too long. We have only 17 games to get out of this hole time is a luxury neither the coach or club have left in abundance action is required soon, if we lose on Monday it's time for a change.
Watch the crowds dwindle in the middle 8's the Only decent gate will be if we fall into the £1 million game !!

We have no right whatsoever to beat Wakefield, yes on paper our team is better but that doesn't give you the right to win.
Wakefield won the game because they did things better than our players did,I'm pretty sure Anderson didn't tell those players to lose today, or drop the ball, or miss tackles or put poor kicks in etc.
And i would ask this, as i did on one of the facebook groups, would another coach or perhaps one of the coaches on here, have done any better with the disruptions we've had to, not only the squad, but to the team each week, how can we develop partnerships etc when players have different guys alongside them each week, it's a big part of what happens during games, you have to trust your inside and outside guys, and you can only develop that by playing with them and building up a relationship etc, how Baloo can be blamed for that is beyond me.'"
Just as a matter of interest meast what would you say Baloo can be held responsible for, Bearing in mind the praise he get's for us being in the top 4 and winning the Hubcap, Just exactly what do you see his job as.

Trouble is , when crowds dwindle as they have been doing for the last three years, It's nothing to do with performances or style of football, It's just the public of Huddersfield who don't deserve a club.

The right attitude and preparation to take on the field.
Appoint the right captain.
Create the team spirit to dig deep in times of strife.
Recruit correctly both team and back up staff.
It's a results based business and 1-6 is not acceptable.
Our downfall apart from the Luke ODonnell era is we lack a physical leader and someone who will take n the opposition. From a player like Anderson this beggars belief as both the Bulls and Saints intimidated teams like us.
We should send him to Honley at half time because every match we get worse after them the Catalans being the most recent example.

What have you been watching the last two games have been abysmal that's not disinterest it's giving up valuable weekend time and twenty odd quid to watch a team of soft headless chickens with a coach that can't seem to fix it that's nowt to do with not deserving a club it's about investment and return like all sports we have been poor for one and a half seasons but last season we found a way out but now the chickens home to roost and we find out what we are all made of.

I would agree with all that and add that the players are supposed to improve not go backwards.

He picks the players and the team and tactics that he thinks will do a job and get us the win.
Sometimes that doesn't work out, sometimes it does.
He is responsible for results on the field ultimately, but like i said, the bad start to the season is not really about what he can and can't do. yes he can pick different teams and tell players to do certain jobs, but then it is upto the players to go and do that job to the best of their abilities. if a player doesn't do that, then what? he drops him? even if that had been an option this season, but it hasn't really. do we then replace him with someone who has no experience at this level and expect him to be better?
I'm not really sure what you're point is?

My point is this Meast, All these things that you have listed he seems to be failing at miserably.
Half his job is to get the team up mentally, and get them wanting to play for the club, Now if that was an odd player here or there fair enough, but It's the whole team, so obviously something isn't right.
Who's job is it to stop the team giving away endless stupid unnecessary penalties, I think we topped the league last season and nothing has changed this season yet, so nothing's changed there has it.
Where are our offloaders, Oh that's right we don't have any do we, Isn't that anything to do with the coaching then.
If we manage to beat Salford on Monday, there will be people touting him for England coach, and saying things like where are all the whingers now. And T smith didn't have experience at this level, but he did a lot better than we have now.

| Jumbuck, how do you know the whole team don't want to play for the club? that's a bit of a drastic claim.
How does he physically stop the players giving away penalties? once the players are on the field a coach can't control what they do, sometimes we have to give penalties away to prevent tries been scored, or shall we just let the opposition score at will, that will give people something else to whine about though?
Offloads, I'm not sure if offloads are really relevant, as it could be a tactic that we are using for different reasons, as fans, we won't be privy to that.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion on matters, even though i don't agree with many on here, but i don't think he is failing miserably, again, down to opinion but it depends on what you term as success as to whether he is failing.
Personally i think the players are failing, themselves, the coaches the fans and most importantly Ken and Jennifer!

| Anderson has done more than enough for him to have a chance. If Brough had 4-5 bad games most wouldn't be calling for him to get dropped but to play on and fix it.
Surely the same rules apply!
He's got us the league leaders and one game away from the grand final in his time here. I can't think of any available coach who could make us go that step further.
He'll have long term plans. He'll still be learning and this is the first time as a coach he's had to deal with an unsettled onfield team.
Worst case scenario let him have the till the end of the season to see how he turns things around.
We can still easily make the 8! That's the priority. We can still do well in the cup. We achieve these goals after such a shocking and disappointing start then that gives us hope for the future, and we all get a better idea of how good our coach is of turning things around.

| I agree Antony, but i would at least give him more time to turn it around, he deserves that, if things still aren't going well into the summer then look at making a change, but to just sack the coach after the disruptive start to the season is just knee jerking and crazy IMO.
