Shaun Lunt - Still too good for us ??

A very comfortable win in the end, they put us under no pressure whatsoever, the only pressure on us came from the whistle of Hicks and our errors. we could and really should have had half a century but we got off the mark that's the main thing.
Our forwards were superb and totally destroyed rovers, who did make a few good yards to start with, agree about Lunt, i didn't even realise he was on the field until he went off! sad to see how his career has moved on since leaving us for better things

Not exactly putting himself in the shop window or doing himself any favours with his petty dire & less than average performance today! Onwards and upwards - not!!

I remember getting blasted for calling him when he still played for us.
He's been found out as a one trick pony. No need to cover the ruck when he's playing cause you know he's not going to run!

Although he does have a Grand final winners medal.

Who else in our team has one ?

Loads of bang average players have them

That bagging ex players and going on other fans forums trying to take the tends to backfire.

That taking the mickey out of our ex players maybe is used to distract from our lack of success

That we still have a lot of bang average players who have won nothing

We are miles away from winning anything which pits us on the same level as Lunt

And ?

His career has gone so far downhill since he left us claiming he wanted a better stab at success or whichever crap came out of his mouth !!

Having a GF winners medal is certainly not a marker to judge him on !!!!!

He also has a losers medal from the biggest whooping at wembley-
Ryan Bailey has a few- so does kirke.......


I said before he left us he's turned into a one trick pony- can't see anything to change my mind about that one. He was less than generous about the Giants when he wanted out (both times actually !) so why should I give him the courtesy.

a winner's medal never had, or ever will be a barometer of an individuals talent or attitude.

long john silver could have 3 from 3 sub appearances but it doesn't mean he's a better player than Danny brough!

Lunt has gone backwards as a player since spitting his dummy out because he wanted to leave the giants for bigger and better things.

Av heard L J Silver`s out of contract soon though Meast --so must be worth a trial if we wait --surely ? :
