| I recall Bentham being the VR in 2014 at Headingley when he disallowed a last minute Briscoe winner vs Hudds because of a nothing "shoulder barge" on Brough when both going for the ball.
You got the benefit that night, we got it last night.
Cue someone saying the 2014 one was a clear as day foul.

| Quote: son of headingley "You do realise that it is a matter of scientific certainty that if anything is on top of any object then it is exerting downward pressure? A gnat's c**k-hair on top of the ball would be exerting downward pressure. I know of no clause in the RFL's rule book which states that the pressure needs to be of a certain magnitude to award a try.'"
Incorrect. We're talking about DOWNWARD MOTION. Assuming you went to school, checkout Newton's Third Law - it's all about equal and opposite forces.
A mass (eg hand/finger/Gnats c**ck-hair etc) will exert downward pressure if on top of another body (eg ball) but if the upward pressure is exceeded or equalled, then DOWNWARD MOTION will not occur. That is a scientific certainty!
Since Keinhorst's finger didn't appear to be on top of the ball, then how can he exert downward pressure resulting in downward motion??

Do you think if you keep telling yourself that that it'll eventually become true?

| Does irt matter we LOST end of.
Pathetic going on about refs.
Giants fans have been doing it for 20 years.
Be two scores better than the opposition and the ref becomes irrelevant.

Keinhorst's arm/fingers were coming from above the ball downwards onto the ball. This would then create a force upon the ball. Keinhorst did not scoop his fingers under the ball to lift the ball up.
As for your upward pressure argument, there can only be upward pressure if the ball is bouncing up - there is no evidence of this. However, the only thing that would in that case necessitate a NO TRY decision would be if there was separation of the fingers from the ball whilst the ball was in the air, thus proving a knock-on . There is also no evidence of this occurring.

| Son of Headingley - The bottom line is that Keinhorst's try was debatable. It's a rugby site - i'll be happy to discuss physics and engineering all day long on a separate thread if you want - it's my job after all. At the end of the day, the ref (or video ref's) decision is final and we've got to respect it whether we like it or not. We should have nailed the final outcome a long time before (Foster dropped ball etc) and not conceded reckless penalties leading to the Rhinos taking the honours - opportunists and 80 minute competitors as they are!

| no point going on about decisions that went against us, we sometimes get those given, sometimes not, i think we got a bit lucky the other year when they had a try ruled out at the end when it could have been given.
it just makes us look like bad losers.
to quote PA, "it is what it is"

| It is what it is !!! Andersons favourite quote.
I think we should be looking at his lack of style and boring manner. Since he became Coach all the players he signed have been moved on. Recruitment policy is questionable and Thewlis controls that side. He should have been chased after the way he cost the Club money over the Mason court case.
A change is needed to freshen the Club up and give us a better style of Rugby.

| yeah sack the coach and the CEO , after all our depleted team have lost 4 games to 3 of the games strongest teams and the current league leaders
obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, but strange how people don't think the coach needs to go when we win games.

| I'm not buying this 'questionable recruitment policy' and 'all the players brought in have moved on'......
Ta'ai
Huby
Smith
Murphy
Ellis
Wood
Not all Hollywood signings, but were either solid buys or have improved since joining, and I don't see any of them beating a path to the exit door.
And the last two signings of Rapira and Hinchcliffe are top, top signings. Hinchcliffe has referenced Anderson as one of the reasons why he came to us.
Back on topic, I can accept that result, as long as it's associated with that performance. Gutting yes, but there was effort, commitment, and based on the conditions and players out of position some attempt to play where possible.
