The club weren't fiddling taxes- LOD was!
This financial change has been known about for a long time- LOD knew it would affect him, he's just been waiting for another offer till he dropped us in it. Yes I'm being cynical but I wonder how injured he has been players such as brough brown jerry eorl and wardle played on with injuries.

Not quite you came you saw you conquered more like you came, you were injured you got sent off. 
Loads of cash to bring in a half back and I for one hope they don't stick with eorl at 13 but bring nack fairbank who shows heaps of promise. |

That is true BUT the club made arrangements to pay an offshore account so he could fiddle his taxes. If they said know you will be paid PAYE then he would not have been able to do that.

Good luck to the lad he's been brilliant when fit and with him going now frees up a large slice of the salary cap for us just in case we need to use it.
If I was going to lose a lot of money if I stayed in Scotland until November and had a chance to move back to Mirfield now with a guaranteed job and able to get the money I originally thought I was getting from my current contract then I'd move, who wouldn't? In life you look after number 1 and your family.

What a ridiculous ill informed statement. Do you think any professional sportsman especially one as firecely competitve as O Donnell would rather be sat in the stand than be down on the pitch playing rugby.
How do you fake a knee reconstruction and a torn hamstring and fool everyone at the club when really there is nothing wrong. 
If he wants to go then the Giants are not acheiving anything by standing in his way. I am a little disappointed though this could not have been resolved in the off season.

"Any professional sportsman" so you've asked them all? or is that an ill formed statement.
I am not suggesting he hasn't been injured just perhaps he's not been in a rush to get back out there. Lets see whether he does a full season at the roosters, indeed lets see whether he plays next weekend.
Just for a change the giants have been shafted- a top player allowed to leave its being reported with no compensation.
