| Everyone seems to have a real downer on kev at the moment- personally I think his lack of form has been down to his positional change rather than kev himself- he's never really looked comfortable there.
Now I'm sure widnes will kick on and build next season- but is Kevin honestly thinking that he has more chance of silverware with them than us? I doubt he is, and surely that's what he wants. To suggest he's given up I think is misguided- I just think he's been unhappy in the role NB has insisted he play-If baloo puts kev back to 6- where he had a great start to the season last year before his injury I think we will see a renewed Kev.

| I heard the same, if its true then no hard feelings on my part, good luck to him at widnes, i really dont think he's been the same player that he was a year or so ago,no doubt his confident is shot but he just seemed to lack any cohesion with his team mates, could be the positioning change but we might never know.

| It wasn't Kevin's choice- and I think its a very unfortunate way for him to leave the club- he hasn't had his best season but think that's due to him playing in a position he has felt uncomfortable with.
If we remember back to before the injuries last season pundits were tipping brough and brown as the potential England half back pairing.
He goes with my best wishes. Wish we had been able to give the captain of our team a proper send off.

No he wasn't, IMHO.
Kev is a centre, nothing more, nothing less.
And I've used the example of all the oldies favourite, Wally Gibson, previously. Absolutely outstanding at FB. Looked every inch as though he would be a classy SO. He was awful. It was as though his brain couldn't interpret the situations quick enough whereas at FB he had that extra second or two to suss things out.

| Spot on again Ivor as usual, not gonna start saying Brown was great for us just cos he is leaving.
Lets not forget the passes chucked straight into touch, the kicks which were always more in hope than anticipation.
Lets also not forget this isn't Brown's fault he has been asked to play positions he isn't upto, remember a certain Chris Thorman.
Brown is a decent Centre and if he had played there I think we would have for the best we could out of him.
He never was a 6 (too slow upstairs and down, pace off the mark) or a 13, so let's not blame the lad but let's not say he was something he wasn't either.
He leaves with my best wishes and Good Luck to him but definitely the right call.

| So just how firm is this rumour that KB is also on his way? I can appreciate that he would be stripped of the captaincy, as that makes sense, but I would have thought that Anderson would want to use him for the remaining games.
OK the view could be taken that his heart wasn't in it, or maybe he was thought to be at the centre of the so called "player power".
Nothing breaking so far at this end, other than feeding on what is on here, which doesn't mean it wont break. Rather strange story that he could go to Hull for the remainder of the season, which would seem to be as far away from where he supposedly wants to be as possible!

KBs performances have been rank all year. He brings us nothing.
As for being the centre of player power KB was NBs pet.

So are you saying that he has definitely been released/loaned out, or does nobody actually know?

| Let's get this into perspective, Kevin Brown has had a shocking season (at Loose Forward).
At stand off for the last few years he has been one of giants best players. He is a better stand off than centre.
His problem through all his career has been confidence. In the big games he has let himself down both for Wigan and Giants. His confidence at the moment is rock bottom just as it was when he left Wigan.
But to suddenly label him as a centre at best is very shallow. He's made a good contribution but it's time to move on. Same with Nathan Brown. All this hysteria about both Browns is getting a bit silly.
Let's look forward to the future not dwell on the past.
With two wins (Wakey and Sts) Giants are back in the mix. For me finishing 5 or 6 is better than 3 or 4 (easy first game then away to a side that has just been spanked by Wigan or Warrington).
Time to get positive and get behind Anderson.
