| Quote: Durham Giant "Huddersfield informed the RFL they would be playing in their white strip and this was SANCTIONED by the RFL.
Cas should have come with their home kit but brought the wrong one. It was either CAS or the RFL who made the mistake. That is why CAS were made to wear the Halifax kit.
The match commissioner has been interviewed by Sky & he said that it was down that Castleford would play in there home jersey's & Hudders would be playing in there alternate jersey's... Sadly Cas didn't pack the right kit & didn't bring a spare! Hence why they are in Halifax's!'"
That's all fair enough, but it doesn't explain why huddersfield should be allowed to choose which kit they played in does it?
That's the RFL's job, and as you rightly say, i feel it is them where the buck should lie, because if they approved it for you, then they should have informed Cas, and that seems to be the only missing piece.

| No, the kit directive didn't have that. The specific instructions for that particular game stated it, which just goes to show that the generic rule is essentially meaningless. There is no home kit or away kit as far as the RFL are concerned. There is the primary kit and the secondary kit and then a tertiary kit for exceptional circumstances such as yours. We were apparently instructed by the RFL to wear our secondary kit. According to Cas, so were they. Different sides may have been instructed exactly the same and there may have been no problem but, today, for those two teams it didn't work. Did the RFL muck up? Did we? Did Cas? Who knows, but to just default blame us is wrong; we did what we thought the RFL wanted us to do.

We didn't choose you plonk! We wore what we were told, or at least what we believed we were told.

Not according to other posters, the directive said Primary(home) you asked for that to be changed and the RFL approved. As i said, not trying to blame hudds, just think it's embarrasing, and as i've stated before, looks like the RFL should be to blame.

| Quote: Birkbygiant "Now it's funny how Wire fans have a pop at us for wearing our away strip at home against Cas, but weren't they wearing that blimming awful away stripthey have against Cas at HWJ
There's a bit of a difference between that, ours was our 3rd strip in aid of a very well known charity and may I just add that the kit directory had us down as wearing our 3rd strip that weekend

| We've been through this before on here because in previous games we've had to wear home shorts with away shirt etc etc to prevent a clash with Hull KR. It was later clarified via the club site that we wear what we are told to wear by the RFL. Either they're wrong then or the rules have changed or whatever but, either way, it's definitely part of the rules that the away side should bring both kits (which incidentally I think is stupid, it should be the home side) and clearly Cas didn't do that.
It's not good. We all look daft. But to just start dumping on us is bang out.

It happens all the time. Go back and look at the kit directive and tell me what kit Leeds wore on friday. I will give you a clue it WAS NOT the one that is listed in the directive

No it didn't. The Directive states Warrington PRINCIPAL too.

the current one is a mix-up, as it says we were due to play in our 3rd kit against hull, not cas as was planned.
