| WOW!!!
After we'd got the Steve Ganson show out of the way [23 penalties against us in the first half and 8 against Saints we were absolutely magnificent.
The 2nd half, well, Saints couldn't live with us. Thee wasn't a weak link anywhere.
Will someone please explain to me how Fooey can get the ball out with 4 men tackling him and all just about to hit the deck. And he did it at least twice!
From being 8-6 down at half time, we went on to win 36-12.
Well done lads.

| Is Danny Brough likely to be your first choice goal kicker this season then, or will Hodgson be doing it?
Congrats on the result tonight btw

| Hodgson?
Brett's left, Elliott's at Batley, and David would be 4th or 5th choice.
Yes, Brough is first choice kicker.

| I know we once had an excellent pre-season under a certain Mr Sharpe, but I reckon we'll be the team to beat this year!!!

| I've just been asked how our forwards were. This is mt answer:
"They totally and utterly dominated.
"Eorl, on the other hand, was outsatnding."

| excellant result lastnight, finally beat saints at home albeit the game was at widnes
looking good for us this year, first half was really stop start with the ganson show longest first half ive ever seen! faaologo got a 10 mins sin bin in first half, kev brown was having abit of an argument with ganson about it all.
grix again looking excellant at full back, no problems with the high ball and makes good yards returing the kicks, no silly wild pass this time hes also had his haircut to look like brett now lol.
Mcgillvary solid too
brough brilliant again with the kicks at goal
Gilmour was playing 2nd row so looks like he will be playing there now and not centre.
o'donnell put two monster hits in on saints players.
crabtree was our best prop, off loading and making good yards
Horne was really good too seems to have carried on the progress from last season
wardle and wood came on for last 5-10 mins or so... (wardle for d hodgson)
cant be any excuses from saints, very low crowd though 1200 !
eastmond seemed to go off early, maybe injured again.

Nope. He's coming back from injury. The game against Hudds was his first stint back and so he was only ever scheduled to be playing for 30 minutes. Simmons used the game to try out combinations.

| I was impressed with Hudds last season.
It looks like they are going to be a major threat this season,it's going to be interesting.
